Be thankful that I didn't delve deep into my cheesy love song collection for this episode.
Hey folks, Julian here. I hope you had a great Valentine's Day (or Single Awareness Day if you're like the Pantsless Ones). I wanted to do something special for this episode, but my original idea was love stories in video games. Yawn. Instead, I asked Patrick to come up with an off the wall and eclectic idea, in the way that Patrick does. He did not disappoint, and it's a shame that Rob wasn't able to join us because of BLIZZARD 2013!!!
Aye Carumba!
Konami brought many great, well-known beat-'em-ups to the arcades in the late 80's and early 90's, and all of them but one have made a transition to home consoles. Yes, The Simpsons Arcade Game is the last and perhaps best classic Konami beat-'em-up to be brought back, and for those who've played all the other classic Konami titles to death, there's enough variance and originality here to keep players hooked.
Available now on Xbox Live Arcade, and tomorrow on the PlayStation Network.
The elusive arcade classic will be available on the Xbox 360 first.
Sony revealed The Simpsons Arcade Game would arrive on the PlayStation Network next week for PlayStation Plus subscribers for free earlier this week. Konami has now announced that the title will arrive on Xbox Live on February 3rd. Although a price has not been provided, it has been suggested to retail for 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99.
Yello!
Earlier, Xbox360Achievements.org showed a list of achievements for an XBLA version of The Simpsons Arcade game. Since then PlayStationBlog.com has published an official release revealing that both it and Final Fantasy V will be free for PS Plus subscribers in February.
Nick, Chessa, and Jason R perform a special recorded PlayBit with some classic arcade beat-'em ups. Watch and listen for The Simpsons Arcade, Turtles in Time Arcade, and X-Men Arcade as well as talk of the upcoming E3!
As has become tradition, part of the PixlBit crew has gotten together for a PlayBit before E3! This year we've decided to do things a bit differently. Rather than broadcast live, we decided to record our play session and post it so that anyone can see it, regardless of their schedule.
