Eat Sleep Play Lays Off 20% of Staff, Jaffe Exits

With the long awaited Twisted Metal set to hit store shelves next week, you’d think that developer Eat Sleep Play would be celebrating.  Instead the developer has laid off eight employees last week, reducing the staff to 26.

Sledgehammer Hiring for New Call of Duty

Wanted: One Employee For The Biggest Franchise In Video Games.

A job listing on Gamasutra reveals that Sledgehammer Games is looking for a Senior Online Engineer for work on an upcoming title in the Call of Duty series. It is unknown what the next installment in the franchise will be but some rumors suggest a sequel to Black Ops. The listing originally redirected to Activision's site but that has been pulled, although the job listing remains.

Apple Founder Steve Jobs Has Died

The computer visionary passed away at the age of 56.

Today, Apple has announced the death of their former CEO, Steve Jobs, at age 56. Jobs was one of the founders of Apple Corporation, and recently stepped down from his position at Apple for health reasons. While Jobs is most widely known as a leader with Apple's computer and portable hardware, he was also involved in many entertainment-based companies, including Pixar. Jobs led Apple as it developed many classic and modern computers, from the Apple II desktop all the way to the iPad and iPhone.
