To say the least, 1985 proved to be a very good year for Nintendo. They successfully launched the Nintendo Entertainment System in the U.S., introduced the Super Mario Brothers, and quickly won the love and devotion of many youngsters getting into console gaming for the first time. It wasn’t long before Nintendo became a name synonymous with high quality video game entertainment.

Right now in Japan, monsters are battling robots. Medieval dudes with long hair are fighting fitness trainers; people are running, panicked. Super Smash Bros. 3DS has made landfall.

Why would I play Metroid: Other M as this week's Monday Night PlayBit? It's simple: I never took the time to get through the game before. More than that, from what I saw, I really felt like the game got shafted upon release. See, Other M took Samus's stoic, unfeeling, powerful character and made her into a more realistic person. People were used to Samus being about the Power Suit, but most neglected deep thoughts about what was underneath. Am I just trying to look sophisticated, or is there something meaningful behind what I'm saying...? Click through to watch the replay!

Psychiatrist Carl Jung, a contemporary and friend of the more famous Sigmund Freud, believed that the unconscious human psyche manifests itself through different roles to the individual. These unconscious manifestations, more commonly known as archetypes, are a universal condition that is an innate part of human existence. While numerous archetypes have been identified, there are main archetypes present in every human mind: The Self, the Persona, the Anima/Animus and the Shadow.

I picked this one up at a used game store for only $29 and it was better than I remembered! After 3 Metroid games they had to go in a new direction, especially with 3d and rumble packs taking off so fast. How did we survive without cell phones? I don't know. What I do know is that the game (which you just lost) took a three-pronged approach to action, adventure, and shooting.
