Somebody told Nintendo never to launch a system without a Mario title. Somebody who likes coins.

Steam Getting Alan Wake's American Nightmare

A newly updated registry lists the XBLA title for Steam.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare will soon be getting a PC release. The newly updated registry list for Steam has the Remedy game included in its database, pretty much confirming the title will be available for the platform at some point in the future.

Theatrythm to Serenade North America This Summer

The popular (in Japan) rhythm game gets a North American release window

Final Fantasy has produced some odd spinoffs, but none are quite so odd and charming as the franchise’s first foray onto the Nintendo 3DS, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.  Upon its release in Japan this past February the rhythm/RPG hybrid saw a 90% sell through, pushing just under 70,000 units in its first week alone.  While it had been previously noted that the game would be coming to North America at some point, it wasn’t until today that we had any inkling as to when that could be.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare Review

Submitted for your approval: the story of a man fighting against the darkness.

American Nightmare is a smaller, more action focused entry in the series. The backdrop for Wake’s new tale is far removed from Cauldron Lake in the first game, and instead moves into the desert of Arizona. Wake is on the trail of Mr. Scratch, the darkness-created doppleganger featured in the two DLC episodes for Alan Wake: The Signal and The Writer.

Ni no Kuni Coming Stateside Winter 2012

Both English and Japanese voiceovers available as well.

We can now narrow down the North American release window for Level-5’s Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.  Namco Bandai revealed that they have moved from the vague release window of 2012 to the slightly less vague release window of winter 2012.  Assuming the publisher isn’t referring to the winter we currently find ourselves in, this means that we’ll likely see the Studio Ghibli collaborated RPG come stateside at the end of the year.
