No one can deny Grand Theft Auto III's place in history. It created the open world genre as we know it and pissed off hundreds of thousands of parents and senators. The previous entries in the series had a similar idea but it was fully realized in a 3D world with this game. Well, believe it or not, the third entry in the series is turning 10 this month.
Rockstar's crime drama will also come with all the previously released DLC.
Rockstar announced today that L.A. Noire will be released for the PC via retail, Steam, and OnLive on November 8, 2011 in the United States. A European release will follow three days later on November 11, 2011. Titled L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, this PC release will include the downloadable content previously released for the console versions, but it will only be accessible after redeeming an included voucher code. This includes the "Nicholson Electroplating", "Reefer Madness", "The Consul's Car", "The Naked City", and "A Slip of the Tongue" cases.
Storytelling takes the front seat in this new crime drama that despite some flaws, shines above the rest.
There is no game out right now that is exactly like L.A. Noire. From the moment players dip into the crime infested 1940’s Los Angeles, they are greeted with an aura that sets this game apart from most. As a game, L.A. Noire isn’t without its problems, however its gripping narrative, compelling characters, and fantastic animations make it a must play, and one of the best titles to come out this year.
