MLB Bobblehead Battle Review

A title that would've been better suited as downloadable content.

Over the years, 2K Sports has struggled to make a baseball game that stands up to Sony's superior MLB The Show games. Being an owner of the Xbox 360 and not the PlayStation 3, it's been hard to find a good baseball game to play because ‘The Show’ is obviously a PS3 exclusive. Luckily there is an alternative baseball game series out there to play - MLB Power Pros - a favorite of mine on the Wii. Microsoft and Konami decided to bring this cartoonish series to Xbox Live Arcade as MLB Bobblehead Pros. Their most recent title, MLB Bobblehead Battle is not anywhere near the quality of MLB The Show, but it still proves to be enough fun to kill tons of time.

Batman: Arkham City Review

One of the best games this year, period.

Seldom is there a licensed game as good as Batman: Arkham City. It succeeds in all of the areas that Arkham Asylum failed, while also keeping the fantastic ambiance, gameplay, and loyalty to the Batman franchise that we came to expect from the original. Pretty much every time I picked it up I easily ended up dropping at least three hours into the game and had no desire to put it down. I will go as far to say that Batman: Arkham City is not only the best comic based game ever, but a contender for game of the year.

Ratchet: Deadlocked Review Rewind

While it's not explicitly stated, Ratchet: Deadlocked marks the first spin-off title in the series. Drop in and see what's changed!

I'm not quite certain what Insomniac Games was going for when they created Ratchet: Deadlocked. It's clear that it wasn't meant to be a traditional Ratchet & Clank game, as the experience is something similar, but quite different at the same time. Rather than the typical action-platformer gameplay, Ratchet: Deadlocked is a third person shooter, through and through.

Mercury Hg Review

What can I say? It's just fun.

It’s been a long time since I found a game to play that was simple, challenging, addicting, and just plain fun. For months now I’ve desired an uncomplicated gaming experience that was lighthearted, didn’t require a membership, was devoid of long, drawn-out cutscenes, and could be played within my very limited free time. So, thank goodness for the arrival of Mercury Hg. Thank you Ignition, for allowing me to escape the reign of epic titles for a few solid and incredibly fun hours.
