Major Nelson has revealed that Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition had the highest sales of any title in its first 24 hours since the start of Xbox Live Arcade. Although official sales numbers have not yet been released for the week, Major Nelson points out that over 400,000 people were playing the game online. Minecraft's phenomenal sales surpassed the previous title holder - Trials Evolution - that hit its high mark less than a month ago. All of these big numbers are good news for Microsoft who has recently received significant criticism from some developers who found publishing on the service too burdensome.

THQ recently announced that they are currently developing of Company of Heroes 2, a sequel to the highly rated PC strategy game released in 2006. Ketzal’s Corridors is based off of a simple theme: Players take control of a block. This block, depending on which level you are playing, will come in a different shape that can be shifted to the left, right, forward or back. As you control the block, you are put into an area where you are constantly moving forward, and have to shift the block to fit through holes in the walls that lie ahead. These spaces in the walls all contain hearts, which you are encouraged to collect to raise your score and unlock levels.
A personal address from Ken Levine reveals that the anticipated title is being moved to next year for further tweaks and refinements.
This morning Ken Levine made a personal address to BioShock fans to inform them that BioShock Infinite will no longer see release in 2012. Originally scheduled for release October 16, 2012, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC owners now won't be getting their hands on the title until February 26, 2013. The delay, according to Levine, is because the team at Irrational Games wants to make "some specific tweaks and improvements [that] will make Infinite into something even more extraordinary."

D3Publisher officially announced today the development of a game based on the Cartoon Network show, Adventure Time. Titled Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?!, D3 plans to release both DS and 3DS versions of the game this fall.

From the very first moments of the game, it’s made clear that Bloodforge is heavily inspired by the God of War series. So inspired that developer Climax Entertainment decided to crib a sizeable portion of that experience in order to create the Microsoft Studios published brawler. However, calling it derivative of the Sony series would be giving it too much credit. Copying only the most basic of elements from the popular series, Bloodforge is a one-dimensional game that won’t hold most gamers’ attention.
