A look at some of the new features to be present in this year's release of the Madden NFL video game.
No, not that Megatron.
For the second year in a row EA has put the Madden cover honors to a bracket styled vote – a concept that sparked some controversy last year when running back Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns won out over the polarizing Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. This year proved to be less exciting and we expect that there won’t be as much disgruntled grumbling this year as Calvin “Megatron” Johnson has been awarded the cover of Madden NFL 13.
GSC Gameworld is no more, but a new project rises from the ashes.
We reported late last year that GSC Gameworld, the developer of the popular shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was closing its doors, and production on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was ended. Then about a month later there was word that things were going well, and the team was back to work on the game. Well, it is now official: GSC Gameworld is dead, as well as the game called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. It’s not all bad news, however, as the people that comprised the core team have started a new studio.

An Amazon listing has revealed a collection of the three PS3 Resistance games, which comes alongside an official Sony announcement of a Game of the Year edition of Uncharted 3.

I didn’t even know The House of the Dead 4 Special was a thing that existed.
Despite the rest of The House of the Dead series making its way to consoles, The House of the Dead 4 has been left in the arcades – and perhaps rightfully so. With the introduction of the machine gun as the standard weapon, the once requisite precision aiming for this light gun series has been all but removed. That’s not to say that there’s no challenge or fun to be had with the latest arcade iteration of the series, but the experience pales in comparison to earlier editions.
The developers from Turn 10 speak about the added variables of tire physics in Forza Motorsport 4.
Another coup for Wii owners in the EU.
It’s been a long time since anyone has heard from the Fatal Frame series. The game debuted on the PlayStation 2 in 2001, and the series became a cult hit amongst horror fans. The fourth game was developed exclusively for the Wii by Grasshopper Manufacture in 2008, but was never translated from Japanese. A remake of the second game, Crimson Butterfly, is in the works for the Wii, but until now there had been no word of the game seeing a release outside of its native country.
A full reveal will be announced May 10, 2012.
This week's Famitsu contained within it an advertisement for a brand new PlayStation Vita title. The six page teaser doesn't reveal much but what is clear is the name of the title, Soul Sacrifice. A teaser website has appeared as well.
