Jason checked out this unique title last night and was blown away by the experience. Check out his impressions!
This year, we're doing something a bit different. In order to bring you coverage as fast as possible, we'll be posting audio recordings of notes from staff members at E3 and later adding in a written version of the impressions. Please click through and check out this staff member's recorded thoughts on the game from the E3 show floor.
Jason's eyes on impressions of the crazy 3D TV that allows two players to see the entire screen, rather than needing to split the screen.
Straight after the Sony press conference today, I was able to go, hands on - or more accurately - eyes on, with the PlayStation branded 3D TV. The TV as you have already heard is 24" and will be offered at release for $499. It's clear from the set up here, which is strewn with beer cans and looks like a frat house, that the TV will be marketed at college students.
Last night, Jason played Resistance 3D, check out his thoughts on the game!
Insomniac returns to the world of Resistance with the third installment in the hit franchise. I only played a little portion of the original Resistance, so bear in my mind I may not know the title or name for everything.
Jason grabs hands on impressions of the latest 3D Mario game after the Nintendo press conference.
Picture Super Mario Bros. 3 and put it in a 3D Mario game, and that’s about what it felt like. There were some major changes though, things you definitely need to know about before you can call them the same thing.
A Nintendo promotional reel reveals the game.
Further information from Nintendo after the reel, reveals that the game is in fact Luigi's Mansion 2. The trailer appears to feature new locales, including several new mansions for players to traverse. Mummies were spotted in the trailer, but little else new, just ghosts.
Jason gets some hands on time with Twisted Metal, but more importantly gets the full scoop on the details of the game.
Brief hands on time with the latest build of Twisted Metal was available after the Sony press conference. During my hands on time, I learned that the game is scheduled for release in just a few short months on October 4. While I didn't have the opportunity to play much of the game, it was clear that it was a faster paced experience than what the series has offered in the past. Though brisker in pace, the game felt controllable and smooth, just as Nick reported at last year's E3.
