More of the same is still great, right?
Despite the dry and arid climate and the minor annoyance of rampant psychopaths and killer animals, I can say that I was genuinely excited to revisit Pandora with Borderlands 2. Unsurprisingly, little has changed since my last visit, which is both good and bad. Like its predecessor, traipsing across the landscape, slaughtering dozens of enemies along the way and looting everything in sight is highly addictive; however, despite the numerous tweaks made to the formula, the core experience isn't any better than what you saw the last time around.
Available now for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
The third person action adventure title will be featured at next week’s E3 conference.
Spike TV’s most recent episode of Game Trailers proved to be an eventful one, giving us our first glimpse of what’s ahead for next week’s E3 conference. Among the exciting announcements that were revealed was LucasArts’ newest in-house development project, Star Wars 1313. This third person action adventure title will see players take on the coveted role of bounty hunter.
Vita and 3DS reboots seemingly come out of nowhere.
The Spy Hunter franchise holds a special place in many an old-fogie-gamer’s heart. The car/motorcycle/boat combat arcade game was known for being incredibly difficult and incredibly fun. With a modern reboot happening in 2001 and a feature film that at one point had Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson slotted to star going nowhere, no one would blame you if you figured you’d seen the last of the iconic franchise.
Coming this Fall to the PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo 3DS.
This is a game you will probably want to pay attention to.
Capcom has been quite the news grabber lately, and it has been mostly negative news over the past year and a half or so. Whatever your feelings for the prolific Japanese developer/publisher, it can’t be denied that Capcom has been one of the most aggressive leaders in establishing new IPs this generation. While that has given us everything from very popular properties like Dead Rising to failures like Dark Void and games that can’t quite be defined like Asura’s Wrath, new and untested games seem to come out of the House of Mega Man at least a couple times a year. Enter Dragon’s Dogma, a game that hopes to bridge the gap between Japanese and Western development sensibilities.
The PC port will be available via Steam.
The PC version of Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is official and it will include more than its console brethren. Michel Gagne and Joe Olson of Shadow Planet Productions revealed that it will include the cooperative "Shadow Hunters" downloadable content for free.
Unless you have four friends to play this locally with, be prepared for a slow and tedious journey.
I wouldn’t say that Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is the worst dungeon crawler I’ve ever played, but it’s not very good either. From the get-go it creates the illusion that it’s going to be a great title within the genre, but it falls apart in execution.
