After a foray on the small screen and a side quest for Ratchet, the duo are back for a traditional experience, now in HD.

Ratchet & Clank's HD debut brings some mixed successes. On one hand, the series has translated beautifully to a higher resolution thanks to its rich worlds full of color and detail. On the other, despite the improved look, the game's mechanics haven't managed to improve significantly enough to handle the often increased on-screen havoc. The resulting experience still proves enjoyable, if only due to the already solid footing of the series and the improved graphics.

This week's PB & Jason might be shorter than the rest, but it still tastes just as good.

What's in PB & Jason today? New Wii models, of course! Sonic is Sega's mascot and he was a Sega platform exclusive back in the day. However, many of his games have been ported to PC. We now have confirmation thanks to Valve that his latest game, Sonic Generations, will be released on Steam the same day as the other versions on PS3 and Xbox 360, according to Blistered Thumbs.

This week's PB & Jason talks up a major issue for a minority of people: Meta Knight's Brawl ban.

Before it does that, Jason hits on some other recent news. Steve Jobs has passed away, and so the first few minutes of PB & Jason are devoted to some of the accomplishments he and Apple have made over the years, as well as his influence on the gaming industry. After a few minutes, the conversation shifts from Jobs to Apple's new iPhone 4S and what gamers should expect with it.  Following all this, there's naturally some Club Nintendo criticism, and even the mention of the currently potential Republican presidential candidate and his relationship to Pokemon!  Finally, after all this, Jason describes his perceptions of the competitive Brawl community and their impending ban of Meta Knight. PB & Jason 59 wraps up with the illumination of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2's story mode.
