BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II is a PSP Port (hence the “II”) of Continuum Shift, which was released first for arcade and then for PS3 and Xbox 360. The port differs slightly from the original: it includes all the DLC characters from the start, and it features a new Abyss mode (more on that later). Like the other titles in the series, this game is outrageously complicated. It’s clearly made for a niche audience (“hardcore” fighting game enthusiasts) of which I am not a part. But, complexity aside, the battles are fun and nice to look at, so it seems they’ve struck enough of a balance that even those who don’t really know what they’re looking at can enjoy the view.

Three EA games will feature content exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

Jack Tretton revealed during the PlayStation press event that three upcoming EA games will feature exclusive content on the PlayStation 3. SSX will offer a Mt. Fuji level, modeled after the real location in Japan. The level will feature 10 drop points, giving players a significant amount of content to enjoy.

The various services will continue to bolster Microsoft's Xbox Live offering, as will the interactive UFC Xbox Live integration.

Aside from games, Microsoft set out today to demonstrate that the Xbox 360 is more than just a gaming machine. Similar to what they did during last year's press conference, the company announced a number of new services, as well as a brand new interface for the Xbox 360 to tie it all together. YouTube, Bing, and live TV were all touted as new features due out alongside the New Xbox Experience this fall.

Nintendo Offers Free Re-mastered 3D Version of NES Classic Excitebike for Limited Time

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nintendo of America has announced that the first major system update for the hand-held Nintendo 3DS™ system will be available in North America the evening of June 6, Pacific time. By installing the free update via a wireless broadband Internet connection, Nintendo 3DS users will have access to an Internet browser and the Nintendo eShop, which contains a variety of new content, including Pokédex™ 3D, an application that lets fans see Pokémon™ characters in 3D.
