Nintendo is getting a taste of the Bat.
Last year's amazing Arkham City is now making its way to the new Wii U in the form of the Armored Edition. Along with the console's new controller, a slew of new features are making its way into the port and Nintendo is hoping fans find that this new edition is the definitive edition.
The special edition comes with an encyclopedia and graphic novel.
Though Assassin's Creed III is still a number of months from launch, Ubisoft has made available a special Ubiworkshop Edition of the game for pre-order. In addition to a copy of Assassin's Creed III, it will include a second edition of the Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia and the Assassin's Creed Subject 4 graphic novel.

Game of the Year? Seriously?
In an announcement that is sure to surprise more than a few, a Game of the Year Edition of Dead Island will be hitting store shelves on June 26, 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Gearbox seems really excited about Borderlands 2 and wants you to be as well. In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, producer Matt Charles showed off the special editions of Borderlands 2 and answered fan questions, revealing some of the features, changes, and improvements the new game will have.
The contents are interesting to say the least.
Limited editions are nothing new in the video game industry, in fact it seems that nearly any game that garners even a mild interest from the gaming public is due to at least offer a limited edition preorder bonus of some sort. With so many limited, special or enhanced editions of games out there, it’s sometimes hard to be surprised when they’re announced, but every now and then a limited edition is revealed that is sure to turn a few heads, even if it’s only because of the interesting nature of its contents.
