City Interactive is delivering some arcade-style shoot-em-up goodness later this year in the form of Dogfight 1942. Originally titled Combat Wings: The Great Battles of World War II, the game had been intended as a retail game. However, along with the name change, the game will now be a downloadable only title that will be available on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Steam when it's released.

With Diablo III exploding onto the world and making headlines for everything from its high sales numbers to its controversial internet connection requirements, it seems as if Blizzard’s new monster is set to dominate the gaming landscape for some time to come. Is Tails the foil that accomplishes what Episode 1 couldn't, bringing Sonic back to his former splendor?
When Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I was released in 2010, it was meant to be a return to form for the blue blur, taking inspiration from the original Genesis titles. The results were mixed. II evokes some of Sonic's previous glory, Sega still hasn't been able to fully capture the magic of the Genesis games, apparently content with yet another platformer that is only slightly above average in nearly every respect.
Available for $3.99 through the Nintendo 3DS's eShop.
