Julian gets nostalgic for his Commander Shepard on BioWare's made up PR day.
It’s November 7th, which is a very important day. No, no, not the fact that the Presidential election is over; I’m talking about vital, pressing issues. Yes friends, today is national N7 Day, so I thought I’d take some time to wax nostalgic about the Mass Effect series and what it’s meant to me. It’s no secret around PixlBit that I’m a pretty rabid Mass Effect fan. Heck, I hosted an entire podcast about the series. With the trilogy wrapped up in a neat little bow (more or less), what better day to shine a light on the saga of Commander Shepard?
AKA Nintendo Circus, depending on who you ask
Like many of you out there, I wasn’t terribly impressed by Nintendo’s press conference at this year’s E3. One of the things they touted as being a major showpiece was a game called Nintendo Land. Much like Wii Sports, the aim of this title is to introduce players to a new controller--in this case the Wii U GamePad--through a virtual theme park bursting with references to classic Nintendo franchises. At each attraction, your mii will don an appropriate costume and partake in a challenge that teaches the player a new way to use the Wii U GamePad. Nintendo’s hope is that this game will do for the Wii U what Wii Sports did for the Wii, and explain to new players exactly what the Wii U is all about.

Love is in the air when you're mowing down zombies with a chainsaw.
A name change and a release window may have been revealed.
Reuters is reporting that Nintendo's successor, the Wii U, will be released at the end of this year. However, it may be released with a different name according to CVG. Come E3 2012 this June, it is rumored that Nintendo will rebrand the Wii's successor.
Okay, so you already know that this is going to be a great episode because the title pays homage to the strongest rapper in the game … Will Smith.

This past weekend the PlayStation Vita launched in Japan and did rather well. With the initial launch of the system now behind us, it’s time to start looking forward to the day when the rest of the world will be able to purchase Sony’s new handheld: February 22, 2012. Sony had already announced the European launch titles during a Vita event in London a few weeks back and has only just now revealed what the US can expect on store shelves come launch day.
