Following in the footsteps of Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8, Wheels of Destruction attempts to bring a fun, vehicle-driven car combat to PSN. As a budget downloadable title it seemed like Wheels of Destruction would be able to deliver, but the final product doesn’t have much to gloat about.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection was originally released this past November for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It contained remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. A Vita version of the collection was officially announced earlier this past March and now the release date has been revealed.

We all know what the big story of this week, nay this month has been. To be honest, that which shall not be named has been reported on over and over again, and all of us were quite frankly a little sick of it. Thus, we decided to focus our sights on Konami instead. Konami has been a beloved development studio bringing us many classics including the beloved Metal Gear Solid franchise. However, as of late they have not been faring so well. With few new titles and even less worthwhile ones, what will it take to make this development studio top notch again?

Although originally tweeted by Hideo Kojima, Konami has officially announced the release of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PlayStation Vita. The port is coming this summer and includes Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3, removing the inclusion of Peace Walked as seen in the home console release.

Playing Twisted Metal is a lot like going to your ten year high school reunion. Sure it’s great to hang out with old friends, bask in nostalgia and relive some of the good ole days but at the end of it all you go home and thank god that you aren’t in high school anymore; that you’re not wearing the same clothes, that you aren’t living with your parents and that you aren’t as stupid as you were back then. But then again there are those like Twisted Metal that peaked in high school and would give anything to go back.

Konami has announced that it's going to shut down Metal Gear Online on June 12, 2012. The online combat game has been running since 2008. The company has released a shut down schedule for the game.
