The Exhibitor Impediment

Two years in a row, media have been impeded by exhibitors to provide content to eager game fans and readers worldwide.

E3, the future of gaming. A mecca for all those involved in the industry. This is my second year attending the show, and it’s the second year this same scenario occurred. There’s a problem, particularly an issue with select attendees, and it needs to be discussed.

Finally, the guessing is over, and the rumors have officially been put to rest: Project Café is officially titled Wii U, and the controller does indeed include a touch screen display.

Mario Kart 3DS Coming Holiday 2011

The game will see a host of new features.

Nintendo announced during their press conference today that Mario Kart 3DS will be making its way to stores this holiday season. The game will see some new features, like gliders, underwater tracks complete with propeller carts, and tire choices for different handling. Nothing more of the game was announced, but it appears to be a slight departure from past entries in the series.

Luigi's Mansion 2 Coming to the 3DS

A Nintendo promotional reel reveals the game.

Further information from Nintendo after the reel, reveals that the game is in fact Luigi's Mansion 2. The trailer appears to feature new locales, including several new mansions for players to traverse. Mummies were spotted in the trailer, but little else new, just ghosts.

Atlus Announces Two New Titles

Devil Survivor 2 is en route to the DS, while The King of the Fighters XIII will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Today, Atlus surprised fans with the announcement of two new titles, one developed internally and one that will be published later this year. Devil Survivor 2, the follow-up to 2009's DS title, Devil Survivor, and upcoming 3DS title, Devil Survivor Overclocked, will be coming to the DS in 2012. The King of the Fighters XIII was also announced for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will see release this holiday season.

EA Bringing Exclusive Content to PlayStation 3

Three EA games will feature content exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

Jack Tretton revealed during the PlayStation press event that three upcoming EA games will feature exclusive content on the PlayStation 3. SSX will offer a Mt. Fuji level, modeled after the real location in Japan. The level will feature 10 drop points, giving players a significant amount of content to enjoy.

Sony Announces Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest

The creators of Sports Champions are hard at work on a brand new adventure game using just the Move controller.

During Sony's press conference, it was announced that Zindagi Games, creators of Sports Champions have started work on a new title for use with the PlayStation Move, Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest. The game is a fantasy action adventure that involves slashing enemies, throwing ninja stars, and shooting a bow and arrow, all with seamless gestures using the Move controller.

PlayStation Vita to Challenge 3DS Directly on Pricing

The WiFi only version of the system will also be priced at $249.99 and available this holiday season.

Sony has revealed that the PlayStation Vita will be priced at $249.99 in North America for the WiFi only version of the system. The 3G version of the system will be priced at $299.99, only $50 more than the WiFi version of the system. Outside of North America, the pricing is similar in number, though more expensive when adjusted for exchange rate.
