Megatron to Grace the Cover of Madden 13

No, not that Megatron.

For the second year in a row EA has put the Madden cover honors to a bracket styled vote – a concept that sparked some controversy last year when running back Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns won out over the polarizing Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick.  This year proved to be less exciting and we expect that there won’t be as much disgruntled grumbling this year as Calvin “Megatron” Johnson has been awarded the cover of Madden NFL 13.

The Walking Dead: The Game - Episode 1: A New Day Preview

Fingers crossed for a black and white option.

With the upcoming release of The Walking Dead, developer Telltale Games has a lot to prove. Not only do they have to reestablish consumer faith in their products after the lackluster reception of Jurassic Park, but they have to create a game that appeals to both the audiences of the Image comic book and the wildly popular AMC television show. Beyond that, this is the first M rated game from the normally family friendly company. A lot is riding on this game, and it will be up to the fans to decide how well Telltale fares. So far, it looks like they have things well in (zombified) hand.

The House of the Dead 4 Review

I didn’t even know The House of the Dead 4 Special was a thing that existed.

Despite the rest of The House of the Dead series making its way to consoles, The House of the Dead 4 has been left in the arcades – and perhaps rightfully so. With the introduction of the machine gun as the standard weapon, the once requisite precision aiming for this light gun series has been all but removed. Shadowrun has a Kickstarter Campaign

And it's already over its goal!

Hot on the heels of our MIA feature highlighting Crimson Skies, Jordan Weisman, co-creator of that game, as well as MechWarrior, Battletech, Mage Knight, and Hero Clicks, launched a kickstarter campaign to fund the digital return of another of his creations: Shadowrun.  The big news is that after a mere twenty eight hours, the goal of $400,000 has already been exceeded and is still rising steadily.

Grasshopper Manufacture Reveals Their Latest

Killer is Dead will grace the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013.

With the upcoming release of Lollipop Chainsaw, and the recent release of Sine Mora and Diabolical Pitch, Grasshopper Manufacture has been a busy studio. Their unique blend of camp and the bizarre has been turning heads for years now and their newest title appears to be no exception. Killer is Dead is Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture's latest work, and though the name seems to imply it, the title bears no relation to their past work, Killer 7.

Journey Review

Journey is just that and then some.

At its core Journey’s focus is on something we do every day without thinking about it – walking.  We walk around our homes, we walk to our cars, and some of us may even walk to where we are going throughout the day.  Even those of us who are unable to walk with our legs find some other means of locomotion to trek to and fro.  Basic movement to us is like breathing – we do it unconsciously even though it is an important aspect of life.  So when I say that Journey is about walking, I am saying that Journey is about something we take for granted.  It’s about what happens on our way from point A to point B.
