Yet another title with an Online Pass.
Tecmo-Koei's Ninja Gaiden 3 is coming out March 20, 2012 and the company has announced that its online multiplayer will be locked behind a Online Pass. Joystiq has confirmed with a Tecmo-Koei representative that the title will require the pass to play online.
It's certainly not the prettiest game on the Vita, but it does offer fleeting moments of fun.
From the moment I booted up Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen, something felt oddly familiar. No, it wasn't because I had played the last game in the series - that title never released in America – it was something else. No matter how you want to look at it, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is a hard sell. Being the fourth rendition of a game originally released in 2004, chances are if you have an interest in the title you already own it in its proper home console form. If by some off chance you still don't own it, the Vita version probably isn't your best choice, mainly because the excruciatingly difficult game doesn't lend itself to quick burst, portable play, especially with its infrequent save points. If that isn't enough to scare you away, the full retail price surely will.
The Shank developer is developing this new ninja title.
Klei Entertainment released Shank 2 early this month but the developer is already preparing for their next title, Mark of the Ninja. The Xbox Live Arcade title has a release window of this summer as confirmed by G4TV. The website features an interactive text adventure that if completed shows how the game looks.
An expired license is said to be the culprit.
The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the Nintendo Entertainment System used to be available on the Wii Virtual Console. Unfortunately, due to an "expired license", that's no longer the case as the title has been removed from the service.
