Actors and developers share there love for all things Tolkien in this trailer. Lord of the Rings: War in the North comes out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 1, 2011.
It was going to be Kirby's Return to Dreamland.
Why is this week's Monday Night PlayBit delayed? Because the game to be featured in the PlayBit is nowhere to be found! After a pretty complete search of area stores, Kirby's Return to Dreamland isn't in any of them. It seems despite the October 24th release date, the game will not be in stores until tomorrow. Given this, expect there to be a "PlayBit Tonight" on Wednesday, beginning at 7:30 PM instead. I hope to see you then!

The end of a video game system’s life is always an interesting one. While game developers, publishers, and fans are looking ahead to the new, shiny machine on the block, the older hardware has the benefit of years of development lessons learned. Consider that Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IX, and God of War all came out as their respective systems were waning, and each of those games are considered classics in their own right. Enter Aliens: Infestation, a game developed by WayForward for the aging Nintendo DS system. Is this a game that will go down in history as one of the best additions to the DS library, or is it a case of too little, too late?
Does Treasure's beat 'em up still have its edge?
When the 32 bit wars began, I was firmly entrenched in the Sony PlayStation camp. I believed then, as I do now, that the overall library of games on the PSX was far superior to that of the Sega Saturn. That shouldn’t imply, however, that there weren’t games on the Saturn that could make even the staunchest PlayStation supporter green with envy. The Saturn was capable of pumping out impressive sets of 2D sprites, and in this the PlayStation was a distant second. Games like Astal, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Albert Odyssey made me desperately want the beefy Sega console, and as soon as I was able to, I plunked down my hard-earned cash for a Saturn. The main reason for this purchase was, of course, Guardian Heroes. I had missed out on many of Treasure’s other games, since I had also sided against Sega in the 16 bit days. Even so, I knew just what kinds of incredible things the quirky Japanese developer was doing with animation and sprite work, and for me, Guardian Heroes was a system seller. Now, 15 years later, Guardian Heroes returns for XBLA with an HD upgrade. Does the game hold up after all these years, and is it worth the 800 MS point asking price? Read on, brave warriors, read on.

Finally, a reason to dust off those 3D glasses.
Gamers that shelled out money for a 3D setup will be glad to hear that Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will support 3D output on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
A remade version of the game is coming to the PC and PS3
Final Fantasy XIV was released in September of last year for the PC and was plagued with bad glitches and bugs. As a result, the PS3 version of the MMO was delayed until the PC version's issues were addressed. Square Enix has now revealed a remade version of the game, set to be released in fourth quarter of 2012. This new version 2.0 will be implimented between October and December of 2012 and then will be release at retail for both the PC and PS3 in the beginning of 2013.
Phone ports and a limited edition action figure.
No one can deny Grand Theft Auto III's place in history. It created the open world genre as we know it and pissed off hundreds of thousands of parents and senators. The previous entries in the series had a similar idea but it was fully realized in a 3D world with this game. Well, believe it or not, the third entry in the series is turning 10 this month.
