Portal 2: Peer Review Review

This is how DLC should be done.

I'm almost unsure as to why I'm even bothering to review this particular downloadable expansion to Portal 2. For one, it's totally free, and two, it's more Portal 2. How could anyone complain about that? After playing through the entirely new set of test chambers, I know I can't. Fact of the matter is Peer Review is more of a good thing.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue Review Rewind

The secondary series tries to expand to reach a wider audience.

Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper. These are probably the platformers you think of when talking about the PS2. In an era that saw the genre lose its footing to first person shooters like Halo and Killzone, Sony’s second console still had a stable of successful platformers. However, some were cast aside, left to wallow in the abyss of subpar imitators. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is one of those copycats. The series was never taken seriously despite its modest success with critics. This is mostly because the series does skew to a younger audience and truth be told, the aforementioned titles had more to offer. That’s not to say that this game has nothing to offer but only fans of the genre will want to get Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue.

Tales of Vesperia Review Rewind

In anticipation of Tales of Graces f and Tales of the Abyss 3D, JD reviews his favorite game in the Tales series.

This console generation hasn’t been very kind to people who love console JRPGs. There have been very few released, and hardly any of those were actually good. Tales of Vesperia is an exception. Though the game isn’t as popular as its predecessor, Tales of Symphonia, Vesperia makes its mark as one of the best in the series.

inFAMOUS 2 Hands On Preview

A sequel that seems to have improved in every way from an already great game.

When inFamous was released in 2009, it took the gaming world by storm. It was a super-hero inspired game that used open world mechanics along with a deep story and strong morale choices to catch the eyes of many gamers. inFamous was met with critical acclaim, and now the team at Sucker Punch seeks out to top the first game in each and every way with inFamous 2. From my hands on with the game, I feel that it truly lives up to that expectation.

Okamiden Review

Believe it or not, a technologically inferior system can still host a good sequel to Okami. If you don't mind the copy-and-paste feel.

I am just going to say this right now: don’t ever expect Okamiden to outdo its predecessor. The original, directed by Hideki Kamiya and developed by the beloved Clover Studio, was a fantastic take on mixing Zelda gameplay elements and Japanese mythology. While many wanted a sequel (myself included), Capcom closed up Clover and the staff behind Okami left to form Platinum Games. Now we have a sequel in our hands, Kamiya-less and developed by a completely different team, on an inferior piece of hardware too.

[Game System Name] Is Like A [Insert Body Part Here]: A Fun(?) Negative Rant

Oh, the negativity...

Say everyone, do you want to have a bit of negativity on your visit here to PixlBit? Well you are in luck! Today, I am going to talk to you about a little something I like to call “Ass Talking”. “Ass Talking” is basically read as “talking out of your ass,” which also means “spewing shit out of your mouth.” Are you finding it hard to take me seriously when I talk about ass and shit and ass shit talking for an entire paragraph? Of course you are, because there is a point I’m trying to get across.
