Memories and some of my favorite games
Today is the 15th anniversary of the Nintendo 64 being released in the United States. It was the first console I got around launch time. My mother got me one from someone she worked with no longer than a month or so after it first came out. The N64 is a darling to Nintendo fans and to those who love games with a whimsical quality and an emphasis on multiplayer. I have a, shall we say, complicated impression of the Nintendo 64, but one that is shaped by great memories of playing great games with my friends.
Let the smack talk begin!
According to the PlayStation Blog the Battlefield 3 Open Beta is now operational on the PSN for gamers in North America and European territories. Because the graphics have received minimal improvement and the gameplay has received none, the HD port serves little purpose other than bringing Code: Veronica to two new platforms.

Nick: As I read through forums and websites, I often see complaints of Wii third party support. I think everyone forgets something pretty critical:
A franchise worth sinking your teeth into

The epitome of what a game shouldn't do.
I've had the pleasure of not having to play many terrible games. Unfortunately for me, Thor: God of Thunder added to my personal short list of gaming atrocities. Movie games are notoriously bad, and Thor does nothing to break the mould. With frustrating gameplay choices, unresponsive controls, mediocre graphics and presentation and to top it off, impossible scenarios that prohibit players from being able to finish the game, Thor is full of problems that result from rushed development.
