Timesplitters 2 on Gamecube was so fun. Monkeys.
Saturday Game Pickups

I thought I might start a habit of fishing the game stores on Saturdays and hook a few new things to fill out my library of games. I made a list of stuff to cast for (I made it large so I'd at least find something) and headed out to the mall where there is a retro game store and several Gamestops. I was also going there to get some street passes and some Chick-fil-a. Yum! Let's see what the nets brought in this week.
A festivus of first sequels!
Medal of Honor on Playstation. I played this way, way back when but I thought I'd revisit it. For $5 it seemed worth it.
Gears of War 2 for Xbox 360. I used to own this but time has a way of eroding your collection when you're not looking. I have Gears 1 digitally from a Games For Gold giveaway and I still have the awesome Gears 3 I played for three months straight a year or two ago. I may want to revisit the whole series again one day. Btw, I just heard today on Major Nelson's podcast that Xbox 360 will get four free games in April, one of them being Gears of War Judgment. I still have to play that one. This was $7.
Timesplitters 2 for Xbox. I used to own all the Timesplitters games at one time. I want them again. I remember playing the frist one, exclusive to PS2, and not digging it quite as much as T2 or T Future Perfect. Why Free Radical went on to make Haze and then the Crysis sequels instead of more Timesplitters games is a mystery to me. We should have played T4 and be eagerly awaiting the current gen Timesplitters 5 by now. Oh well, that's how it goes. It was $9.
Uncharted 2 for PS3. I have Uncharted 1 and I needed 2 and 3, which I have yet to play. These games are a must for a PS3 library and one day I'll run through the whole series and discover what I've missed. I got this for $5.
Dead Space 2 on Xbox 360. I didn't much like the controls on the first game, but I loved the visuals and the story, so I want to give the series a run sometime. DS2 was the highest rated of the series but I will acquire DS1 and 3 at some point. I got this for exactly a dollar.
Killzone 2 for PS3. I love the Killzone series. I almost bit on the Killzone Trilogy Collection but it was $27 and I was kind of fishing for cheap catches today, so I waited until I found the single game. This was $3.
After that I got me some Chick-fil-a, took a tour around the very crouded food court and headed out. I loaded up on Miis, went to work, and now, very late, I want to get back to running these Miis through the Mii Plaza games and free up some space for tomorrow when I head to my friend's place for gaming, hitting every Spot Pass location on the way. I wonder if Nintendo will release any more Mii Plaza games? There seems to be another spot for one, but after this news about Nintendo getting into the mobile space, I think they're already moving on to new territory.
Good algorithms flatlanders. Pretty soon the metaverse will be here and all this will change.
