I remember somebody asking about the scratch warranty on a DS game. Do I want it? What the heck do I need that for?
My Big Dumb Day

It's another big dumb day picking up new media to consume. I also hit up the fast food chains: Wendy's for a chicken sandwich and McD's for a hot tea and Miis via Spot Pass. Soon I'll hit up a coffee shop and get my hour of reading done before work. Right now though, I'll share with you all my music and game finds in the wilds of suburbia. See picture below.
I found one of the two albums I needed for my 1970 Metal playlist, Black Sabbath's Paranoid. The other one, that I didn't find, was CSNY's Deja Vu which had a hard rock tag on wiki probably because of a song or two with Neil Young's distorted guitar. I think that's the album with the song "Woodstock" on it. It has the best guitar solo Young ever did, in my opinion.
Along the way, I spotted some other stuff I wanted to listen to. Shown is a Little Feat box set. I'm interested in their first few albums with Mothers of Invention bassist Roy Estrada, but I'll give a listen to all their 70s albums too. In that stack, not shown, is: Ry Cooder Live in San Francisco (2013), the Cure's Disintegration and ELP's Live at the Mar Y Sol Festival '72.
In the stack with Black Sabbath is: Captain Beefheart's - Safe as Milk (their first in '67), Black Country Communion's Live Over Europe (members: guitar wizard Joe Bonamassa, singer/bassist Glenn Hughes - played with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath; drummer, Jason Bonham - son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham - ; and keyboardist Derek Sherinian - of Dream Theater fame) and CCR's - Willy and the Poor Boys (their fourth album).
Now to the meat of the matter, the games! At Gamestop I got Mystery Dungeon Shiren The Wanderer for DS for $2 on Jeremy Parish's recomendation (he's at USgamer.net and Retronauts.com). Then this big dumb fighting game Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage for $6. I aspire to the big dumb life that is Kenshiro's. I just need to become a punching machine and find a woman with the sex appeal and attitude of a UFC fighter.
And speaking of women, the saleswoman at Gamestop was the perfect employee. She didn't upsell the heck out of me (insurance on a DVD? Are you kidding?!) and made sure my Fist of the North Star had the booklet in it. I'd kiss her if that wasn't totally inappropriate. Unless, of course, she knew I was KnightDriver, and then she'd be totally ok with it. . . I'll answer myself: "dream on lover boy!"
And that was my day. Time to get some coffee and read my Black Science graphic novels. Good times.
