Abadox Advert and Music Pickups

I just finished volume 3 of the original TMNT and found this Abadox game ad under the front cover. Abadox is a 1990 side-scrolling shoot 'em up like a Gradius for the NES. You have to shoot your way through the digestive track of an alien organism. I'm going to have to add it to my list. See pic below:

This image reminds me of the part in Halo 3 where you shoot your way through the Gravemind.

Then I picked up some more music for my 1991 playlist at Shady Dog Records. Pic below:

I don't think I've ever heard classical composer Henryk Gorecki, but I'm collecting a lot of Kronos Quartet albums. This one is from '93, so it'll go on a future playlist. Genesis' We Can't Dance, however, is from '91 and I'll listen to it this week. I've heard it before. It's the last non-live album with the three remaining members. It's not my favorite, but there are a few tracks I like and, well, it's Genesis, so I have to have it.

I'm not a fan of most Genesis post Gabriel but that album I particularly hate. The Kronos Goreki though is very cool.

Yea, everything after Gabriel and then Steve Hackett is mostly all about Phil Collins. I've enjoyed certain tracks from the Collins years, but none of it holds a candle to the Gabriel/Hackett years; although, And Then There Were Three still had an arty bent probably because Tony Banks seemed to be in control for that album. Duke ended all that though.

The orginal ones are pretty good. I think there are four trades. "Saved by the shell" is my favorite line from it so far.

Abadox really isn't that good. I'd play Life Force, Zanac, GunNac, Gun.Smoke, 1943, or better yet, The Guardian Legend instead. Those are some of my favorite NES shooters.
