Thought I'd share the playlist I'm listening to this week. This is everything I could find in my collection and which I bought this week. I'm having a lot of fun listening to all this stuff in shuffle mode. It gets me through my last hour of work every night and it's a blast.

Anthrax - Attack of the Killer Bs
Carcass - Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious
Cypress Hill - self titled
Dinosaur Jr. - Green Mind
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince - Homebase
Fish - Internal Exile
Fixx - Ink
Genesis - We Can't Dance
Kronos Quartet - Piazzolla: Five Tango Sensations (totally sounds like some of the music from                                                                                      - the Prof. Layton series)
Nirvana - Nevermind Deluxe Edition
Pearl Jam - Ten
Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Rush - Roll the Bones
Spin Doctors - Pocket Full of Kryptonite
U2 - Achtung Baby

If I'm running a pirate radio station right now, this is what's playing.

Looks like a fine playlist.

It's all over the place, and I like it that way.

That was more or less my philosophy when I ran the alt rock station. You could argue my definition was too broad and I did end up taking some stuff out of rotation. But I like an eclectic mix and figured that was the best way to get people listening to something they hadn't heard before.

I like "eclectic".

I like Achtung Baby.  Nice production values.  But I love Zooropa more.

Yea, I think I like Zooropa more too. I'll be listening to it very soon again for the first time in a long while. I'll see if I still think that way.

I saw The Fixx when they opened for The Moody Blues many, many, many years ago. As for U2, I really haven't liked anything after their first three albums.

I rediscoverd The Fixx a few years ago. I really like them and have been trying to track down all their albums. That's wild you saw them live. Would've loved to have seen them; only, I wasn't as big a fan of them back then as I am now.

I'd never heard of them before that. I liked them better than the Moody Blues, which was the main act.

I'll second that thought.

I wore the grooves off The Fixx - Reach the Beach when it first came out. Great album. I bought a lot of U2 starting early in their career but have since discovered that I don't really like them. I appreciate what The Edge does but I like him better playing with other people. You have a lot of other good stuff in there too.

I remember liking the songs off Reach the Beach on the radio but for some reason never bothered to get their albums. I think I have almost all of them now.

I was into U2 through Joshua Tree and then have been luke warm on them every since.

Achtung Baby is the album that sticks out because of One. The radio station would be it a lot and I thought it was such a good song. I didn't care for Mary J Blige's version, and I didn't get to listen to album fully until recently. I haven't seen Dinosaur Jr, since the Reality Bites soundtrack.

Yeah, One was played ALOT. Almost really tired of it now.
