From top to bottom, left to right:

Cheapo vinyl:

Family - Anyway: This is their fourth album from 1970. This is a prog rock band I've heard very little of, so I'm trying to get all their albums.

Faces - First Step (their 1970 debut): This was a Rod Stewart led "blooze" (I love that word combining booze and blues. I think I got it from a Rolling Stone review) band the the same year as his second solo album, Gasoline Alley, with almost all the same players. I like Ron Wood's guitar playing.

1993 Stuff:

World Party - Bang! Had to have more World Party.

Primus - Pork Soda: Gotta have all the Primus stuff.

Dave Matthews Band - Remember Two Things (Their debut. It's a live album with several songs that ended up on their first studio release, Under the Table and Dreaming. I always liked that Under the Table album, so I had to have this. I didn't like them much afterwards though).

Radiohead - Pablo Honey (Their debut, and I know nothing about it)

Next up is '93 in gaming.

I remember Pablo Honey.  Not a great album, but there's a couple cool songs.  I remember when it came out my friend bought it and I couldn't care less.  Now they're one of my favorite bands.  I prefer their live stuff to their albums though -- more raw, human, and epic.

I hear about Radiohead all the time and how great they are. I don't think I've really listened to them at all. So I'm going to binge on them and hear what's what.

To be honest, I never liked Radiohead much. I like a few of their songs now, but that was not the case until recently.

They are new to me, although I hear about them all the time. I'll see if I like them.

I love Family. Big Roger Chapman fan. That reminds me. Do you know Mike Batt? If not you should. Roger sings on the song Imbecile from Mike's album Tarot Suite. Great stuff

I'm always surprised, given the amount of prog rock I've listened to over the years, that there is yet another band I didn't know about. I'm excited to get into them in a big way.

I was listening mostly to country in 1993, so not much on your list is really ringing any bells.

I was thinking about your interest in folk and then it dawned on me that around this time I was playing open mics and folk circles. I remembered one folk singer I liked a lot, John Gorka, and then put all his albums in my list. There wasn't one for '93, though. I think I was hearing his Land of the Bottom Line album on public radio around this time.

The Cranberries. I loved this album! Linger was the huge hit but songs like Dreams, Sunday, Wanted, and Put Me Down were the fun surprises I found. Dolores O'Riodan has such a cool singing voice.

I know. I love them. Something about her voice really speaks to me. I mean, she can over do it too, like on Zombie, but I still like her singing a lot.

Pretty weird you are unfamiliar with Radiohead considering they are very well known and something of a darling. Maybe Creep will ring a bell to you, since that one is in Pablo Honey.

Also, unlike Joe, I love them and when you get to 1997, you should definitely look at Ok Computer.

It is weird I never got into them. I remember Creep now. That song was on the radio a lot. I have OK Computer and a bunch of their albums now. I'll definitely listen to them when I get to the years they came out.
