I hate achievements where you're right on the cusp of completion.
So Darn Close To Total Torment

I finished up all but one achievement in Saint's Row: Gat Out of Hell today. The one remaining is "Let's Bounce" - In Torment Fraud, hit 5 vehicles in a row without touching the ground. Torment Fraud has you become one of the zombie-like souls that make up most of the inhabitants of this Hell. You're object is to throw yourself into traffic and cause as much damage to yourself as possible, the idea being that the more suffering you endure, the less time you will have to spend in Hell. Thus you are, in effect, defrauding Hell of the time they sentenced you to. So you waddle your way into traffic and throw yourself at the cars, and if you do it right, the impact throws you into the air and then you can somewhat control your flight and try to hit more cars, bouncing your way across the map. Well, this is easier said than done. I found the best location to do this challenge (the place with the most traffic) and tried over and over to get to 5, and so did my friend Mark. Both of us got to 4 many times but just couldn't get that last one.
As a break, I played Episode 4 of Tales from Borderlands out this week. It was fine. There wasn't as much slow-down as in episode 3. It ran pretty smoothly. The story was fun and the decisions you had to make interesting, but, really, there's not much to do in these TellTale games. You watch, you choose a dialog option, you move the stick in different directions, that's about it. I got kinda bored with so little to do. It was fun for 2 hours and done; no more achievements to get (you get them all by just playing through the story regarless of your choices).
Then I played some Borderlands: The Presequel and realized that I've really seen everything in this game several times over and am somewhat uninterested in replaying the levels, even for the remaining achievements I haven't got. I like going for achievements, but I need a little more to keep my interest. I need new locations to explore and sights to see; otherwise, it's just kinda like grinding for levels in a RPG - not my favorite passtime.
Finally, I tried to get that Gat Out of Hell achievement again. Had no luck at it, but got close several times. I may give it another try tomorrow, but I'm just about fed up with it.
I'm thinking of maybe revisiting EDF 2025 and Diablo III tomorrow and then maybe play Gears of War Judgment. My friend Mark has the game too and we can play it all in co-op. That should be fun.
