I don't think I bought any music that was released in 2010. I was listening to tracks off The Drpkick Murphys Live at Lansdowne on the radio, though.

I honestly don't pay a lot of attention to when books are published unless I'm waiting for something to come out. I did read Mockingjay and Changes (Dresden Files), and since Mockingjay was still in hardcover, I'm sure I must have read it then. Same with Changes.

Movies...I rarely go to the movies anymore, mostly because I can't afford it. Jason and I went to see Spectre at the matinee last week and with the two tickets and a small popcorn, it cost us $20. I think we did see Toy Story 3 and Hereafter in the theater, though.

Games: Bought a bunch, but I was working year-round at the previous park at that point and Jason was actually still working, so we had expendable income. White Kinght Chronicles and Alan Wake were preorders that I have still yet to play. Rocket Knight, Dragon Quest IX, Limbo, Lara Croft & The Guardian of the Light, Pinball FX 2, and Golden Sun Dark Dawn were all day one purchases that got played right away. The only two that I finished were DQ IX and Golden Sun, though. But then again, Pinball FX2 isn't exactly a game with an ending :)

I usually don't care about book release dates either. Just in retrospec, it's kind of neat to see when things came out. Sometimes, like with games, I think about trying to get current releases, but it has to be something really special. I was looking at the Halo books that came out 2015, but there are too many of them this time. It's like three novels and several online novellas. Too much!

I've been interested in playing Alan Wake lately. It didn't interest me back then though. All the others you mentioned are definitely on my list to play. 

Fallout: New Vegas and Yakuza 4 were right along with Valkyria Chronicles and Lunar: SSH on my list of 2010 must-plays. I had a good time gaming overall.

P.S. Sega has decided to revisit Valkyria Chronicles in the form of a PS4 remaster of the first game and Valkyria: Azure Revolution, which looks to be a traditional turn-based RPG (not a SRPG) prequel to the first game. Knowing Sega and their track record for localizations, the new game is kind of iffy for a US release, but I hope they'll make use of Atlus USA for a localization. We may have a decent enough chance of seeing the remaster of the first game since it's already localized and Sega was apparently pleased with the sales numbers of the Steam re-release.

Oh that's sweet about Valkyria Chronicles. I'll be on that stuff for sure. I need me a PS4 soon though. I already pre-ordered Earth Defense Force 4.1 out in December. That'll be two PS4 games I'll have before getting the system (other one is Killzone Shadowfall).

I'd like to try Yakuza and Fallout New Vegas sometime. 

Looking at a list of CDs released in 2010 the only ones I remember buying that year was Lady Antebellum's Need You Now, and Sara Bareilles' Kaleidoscope Heart. Everything else I got years later but probably listened to a bunch of during that time. I think I was still playing a bunch of PS3, and PSP with a little original X-Box thrown in. I remember how everyone loved Crackdown 2. As for Plants vs Zombies this might have been the time I followed steps online where you turn a Barnes & Noble Nook into a full on Android Tablet by rooting so I might have been playing Plants vs Zombies on it. 

I remember a lot of criticism of Crackdown 2 then and now. It's a fine game, just not so different from the first game. 

I was a huge PopCap fan when I was still playing on PC, but got away from that just when Plants vs. Zombies came out. I waited a good long time for it to come to consoles. PvZ 2 never did make it to consoles. I'm mad about that. 

One cool game in 2010 was WarioWare: D.I.Y. on the DS.  It let you create your own WarioWare mini-games!  This was my Game of the Year in 2010 because I won one of the creation contests and got my game featured by Nintendo!

I wasn't as hyped on Scott Pilgrim as other people, cause while I caught the references, the humor just didn't do it for me for some reason. Action was great though and they had a good band in The Bob-Bombs. I remember Paul & Storm now. I need to start really listening to their stuff. Always liked the orchestral Halo music. My friend Mikel LOVES Halo and I think a lot of it has to do with the score. He loves that stuff.

I forgot about the WiiMake of Goldeneye. I really need to finish Okamiden.

I had a HOT date to see How to Train Your Dragon, but it didn't end up going anywhere. Maybe if I was the assertive me I am now, something would have happened, but I was still too nervous about work conflicts at the time (I was a CA (RA) in college and it was a resident). I wound up joking about how it cost me $22 for nothing, though really I liked the movie and date. Was just pissed only 3D was available. I remember seeing trailers for Jonah Hex and thinking even those looked bad and were supposed to sell the movie, so I stayed away. Megan Fox was in that, wasn't she? Where's she gone? Kick Ass was my favorite movie that year. Still-camera action and the only shaky cam scene is a reference to FPS? Oh hell yeah! Never saw the sequel, just remember the Jim Carey drama. I've heard similar things about Machete and its sequel, first was really fun but not so much second. A friend and I watched A-Team and Expendables at her desk job. We LOVED the A-Team and laughed at the literally 30-minute opening credits sequence. We were not overfond of the Expendables, minus Jet Li who was awesome and funny. The whole love interest thing was pointless though and it took itself too seriously, whereas A-Team knew what it was. I wanted to see The Wolfman, but True Grit was awesome. Coen Brothers, yeah?

One of the trailers for Destiny early on had the O'Donnell music and it made my hair stand up, I got so into it. Seemed like it was a new great Halo game. It was something different, but that music got me going. 

Yea, Megan Fox was in Jonah Hex. It didn't help it at all. 

Expendables was pretty bad. I liked Dolph Lundgren's character. They didn't develop him much though. The second one was awesome in the first ten mintues, then proceeded to bore me the rest of the movie. 

Kick Ass was fun.  I love the part where it's like a 1st person video game when Hit Girl is taking out the gangsters and it shows her point of view aiming the gun.  That shit is brilliant. 

Yeah, that was a fun movie. I saw the second one with my friend, and he loved it, but I didn't so much.
