I don't know how Skylanders will ultimately compete with Disney and Lego.... those are two powerhouses.
Well we can be thankful there's no eagles game on today!

Today I went to Gamestop to take advantage of their buy 2 get 1 free sale on all used merchandise. While I was there, I was told there was a buy 2 get 3 sale on Skylanders figures. Well, well, how could I resist. I was just thinking of getting into Skylanders. Now was the perfect time. See pic below for all the goodies I got for the price of one new game:
Yea man, I got me some Xbox One games. That's Shadow Warrior, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Wolfenstein: Old Blood. Then I saw Skylanders: Swap Force starter kit on clearance for $10. That was an easy one. Then there was the buy 2 get 3 free sale on figures, so I got five swap force figures. The one in the middle is actually a duplicate of one in the starter kit because I just didn't look closely enough. Oops. It's the kind of thing that happens when you get swept up in the black friday sales. And I thought I made sure I didn't get any dupes either. Darn it! Anyway, I'm set with Xbox One for a while.
Tomorrow (meaning later today 'cause it's crazy early on Sunday morning right now), I'm going to rearrange what I'm playing next. I may put aside EDF: IA in order to play this new stuff. It'd be just cool to be playing Skylanders by Christmas time. It'd be like I was 10 years old again, but with a 5 o'clock shadow, beer in hand, and a potty mouth to rival a submariner after a six month voyage. Fun, fun, fun.
Oh man, I could get really into that. I'm so tempted to make a list of all the figures and go find them. I should take it easy right now though. Too much spending lately, and it's not even Christmas yet! I guess the Swap Force portal of power works on anything up to, but not after, that game?
