Hey guys and girls. Nick's been working on the site a little in response to the spam uproar we've had lately, and you may notice that there's new icons on comments instead of text. It might be tough to decipher them now, but Nick is gonna put labels on them tonight so if you roll your mouse over them, it will let you know what they do.

In addition, he's reinstituted banning on the site, so if we notice a spammer has arrived, the staff can more easily ban them without Nick being involved. It should clean things up a little around here.

I think that one makes a comment, but not as a reply to anyone.

It's the "permalink," which is fancy talk for a direct link to that specific comment. You can right click and copy the link and share it with someone else or link it somewhere else on the site. Silly, I know, but it's kind of a standard feature.

1. Right click on the picture of the link.

2. Copy Link Address

3. Paste Link into a message so someone else can go directly to that comment like so:

The link above will take someone to your comment or any comment you do that for.

Let's say someone asked you a question on a topic you had previously answered in another blog ages ago but they have forgotten. You could go back to the old blog, copy the link and paste it into the new post and say "See Snee, I already answered that on June 15th 2013."

Just added the tool tip descriptions for the icons in the comments section. Hopefully that helps out anyone who was unsure of what each one does. Thanks for the suggestion, Matt!
