I've been using this site a lot lately. I've also been keeping records on how long I've spent playing each game. I've been doing it for several years now. That's some information I could add to their database. There were some games there that I played that either didn't exist on their site yet or didn't have any play time data for them. I thought I'd fix that and add all the data I've accumilated so far. I have the same user name over there as here. I'm going to explore their site a bit more over the next few weeks. They have a forum too. Here's the link: http://howlongtobeat.com/user.php?n=KnightDriver

My only thing about these sites is ... I honestly kinda don't count a lot of my STeam games cause I got them in a Humble Bundle and don't intend to play them. But I guess you don't have to add those.

I'm not going to add everything. I did that already with backloggery. I'm just going to add my time to beat on the games I kept track of.

I beat so few games.  I am lame.

I just loaded a bunch in. I couldn't put in a lot of games because I didn't keep track of when I beat the main story, only the total time I spent with the game. I'm going to have to add that category for 2016.

I reference that site a lot for game lengths but trying to contribute is just too much for me. Plus, since I have little kids, I often get pulled away while playing something and it gets left on. My times would all be skewed lol.

Yea, it's kinda hard to keep track exactly. I'm not going to sit with a timer and stop it every time I walk away from the screen. I don't think it needs to be that precise unless you are doing a speed run. The sight crunches the times in a certain way so that it reflects what most people are recording. There's also a color code to tell you if a time has been recorded by a lot of people or just a few.

A couple months ago I started keeping my iPod Touch by my side just to note the time I started and stopped playing any particular title.

I have an account on here too! I am seeing if I like Backlogerry or this one better since they are kinda similar. My only issue is getting in the habbit of actually tracking how long I play a game for and recording it in. If I forget I go by the save file but...if I go idel or something then I am adding in unwanted time.

It's a good place though to see how long it takes others to see about how much time you are going to need to put into it too! (sent you a frriend request btw!)

Got your friend request. Cool!

I'm not going to use it like backloggery, I think. But from here on out I'm going to add stuff I have times for. I just make a note of the time when I start and stop a game. I don't want to think about it too much. But from here on out I may concentrate on the main story in the game I'm playing just to see what time I log for it. Then go back for completion, if possible. I like those games that keep track for you. That's very helpful.

I'm glad you posted this because I'm always wondering how long certain games in my backlog are. If I can find out that information, it'll help me to know if I want to start a particular game or no.

The site is blocked at work, so I'll have to check it out when I get home. Good info though, thanks!

The site is really cool. It lists times for just completing the main story, for doing everything in a game, and speed runs. It also has a color code that tells you if the times are posted from a lot of people or just a few. I made a spread sheet of all my games and sorted them by completion times. It's a neat list that I'm adicted to right now because it creates a great variety of games on my playlist. I've tried other sorting methods like relevancy, but this one gives me the most variety and that keeps me interested.

This sounds like an interesting site. I just signed up and I will start adding the games I beat in 2016 to it. This will be a nice addition to my list of games I start/finish that I started this year. Thanks for the info and I sent you a friend request. I'm GoAztecs there too.

Cool. More friends! I was surprised I had so few games to add because I hadn't recorded a time for the first run of a game. I could only add games I had completed 100%. I'm going to keep better track of times from now on though.
