Here's a list of my top ten most played games this year, in order of most played to least, for 2015.

Diablo III
Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
Mii Plaza Games
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell
Gears of War Judgment
Pokemon Shuffle
Stacking
Fantasy Life

Here's a list of the books I read that have something to do with video games.

Halo: Broken Circle - It's a Halo book.
The Hunt for Red October - It was made into a video game and it mentioned PC game Choplifter several times. It was the game the sonar expert, who was described as a dweeb with mad skills at hearing enemy subs, was obsessed with.
Harry Potter 2, 3, 4 - All made into video games.
Halo: Hunters in the Dark - It's a Halo book.

Here's a list of films I saw that have some references to video games.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - There is Steve's own video (or pinball, I forget now) game on his ship in one scene.

Delta Force 1 and 2 - If they weren't actually made directly into a video game, many action video games of the 80s took inspiration from these films.

Chappie - Look to see, in one scene, what is powering the computers that transfer a human mind's consciousness to a chip. It's a stack of PS4s!!!

Mad Max Fury Road - Made directly into the 2015 video game Mad Max.

Ice Pirates - I believe, when the main character's ship fights a bunch of other ships, you see it done in video game form on one of the ship's monitors like Space Invaders.

Die Hard - Made into a video game.

Ghost in the Shell - Made into a video game on PS1. I think there were a few others on PS2 as well.

In Music, here's a list of some stuff that's gaming related.

The Imitation Game soundtrack. This one's all about Alan Turing, a man who was instrumental in the creation of computers and hence, video games. The soundtrack has some early computer like sounds imbedded in it that made me think of gaming.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold soundtrack. I got this with the preorder and it's very nice. The music conjures up fantasy landscapes for me.

Mad Max: Fury Road soundtrack. It's full of lots of drums and primal rhythms. Kind of scary really, but I think of all the action scenes in that movie when I hear it.

And that's about all for 2015 listomania. Got any lists? Put them in the comments. I love lists!

I love lists too. Since I'm waiting to edit and release the next Lower Level podcast with our favorite games, I'll give you my

Top 5 movies I've seen this year on Rottentomatoes' Certified Fresh list of movies released in 2015:

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens

2. Inside Out

3. Spy

4. Mad Max Fury Road

5. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

Only other movie on that list I saw was Avengers: Age of Ultron, which I kinda half paid attention to on DVD to be honest.

yeah, Rogue Nation wasn't bad. While the last Mission Impossible had a plot, it didn't have a story.  Rogue Nation was quite different.

To be honest, I barely remember either. I really liked 1 and 2, but haven't seen 3.

Yeah, 4 and 5 kinda came and went for me. I liked 5 better though.

Happy New Year! I thought about seeing Spy. I guess it was good, then.

It was hilarious and starred a woman my parents recognized from British television ... and 50 Cent.

Happy New Year! Early in the year I was playing it co-op with Mark. I had meant to pickup Ultimate Evil Edition and play it even more, but I never got to it.

Happy New Year! Youtube is darn good. Earlier in the year I was looking up video related to whatever book I just finished. I always found some really cool stuff like the complete made-for-tv movie of War and Peace. Also music video for albums I got.

I don't have any lists off the top of my head, but tomorrow on New Year's Eve, I'll have a list of recent GamerDad review links on my blog.  And later next week will be my Cary's Best Games of the Year 2015 Awards Show!

Happy New Year! Can't wait for Cary's GotY Show! Does that sound funny? It kinda does.

Actually, the Mad Max game seems to take place before Fury Road from what i've read. Though guess it makes sence since the game was made as a late promotion.

I wonder if it has the look of the movie at all.
