Cool beans. I just bought copies of DQ IV and V for the DS. I'm a bit behind the times, I know...

I haven't played those. I've just played VIII and the first one. Oh and a little bit of IX.

If I had a PS4, this would be one of the games I would consider getting for it.

When I went to get it, I had to make sure it was a PS4 game. I couldn't get it out of my head that it might be for Wii-U - seems like the perfect place for it. 

Wah! I don't have a PS4. I'm going to go sulk now.

I think Dragon Quest XI is coming to 3DS this year. That's the real deal RPG. I can't wait for that. 

I'm kind of curious about this one but don't want to spend the money on something I'm not sure I'll like.  

I almost got it day-one, but, like you, I wasn't sure I'd like it. For the $17, I'm happy to give it a try. It'll be worth it just to see all the characters and monsters from the RPGs.

That's not a bad deal for a PS4 game. Is that slime gun available as DLC, or is it just a day one bonus?

Not sure. I'm thinking, though, that the code included is probably still good because Gamestop probably had this copy when someone didn't come for their preorder and opened it to make it used so they could sell it for profit. I don't like that, but it may mean I get the preorder bonus stuff. 

So I love this game a lot. Honestly the slime weapons are not really worth it. The maps are honestly better. I equipped the slime weapons only to have them get replaced very quickly. 

Let me know what you think of it! I'm going through finishing up left of quests and maps and getting the remainder of the trophies I need. I will probably start a new game up soon

Also it is available as dlc...at least the slime weapons not sure about the maps.

I'm going to play it this weekend for sure. I'll do a blog about it on Monday night because I'll be switching to XBO to play Banner Saga the following week. That is, if it actually comes out. I remember Banner Saga being listed for Xbox 360 a while back, and it never came out. 

I still need to get that game on steam! I heard it was really good and I think there's been word of a second one coming out?

Sequel? Neat. I'm going to be watching xbox.com on Tuesday to see if it actually drops.

It's stupid long for a game title. What were they thinking? If I say Dragon Quest Heroes, you might ask which one because there was also Rocket Slime. So now I gotta repeat that long subtitle every time? At least it rhymes; makes it easier to remember.
