gotta give it up to Kubrick.
How's fire Emblem. I'm debating picking it up

I'm getting ahead of myself a little bit. This is my blog of events on Friday, even though I'm posting this early Sunday morning. So Friday I picked up Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright at Gamestop for no money because I traded in some games. I had trade-in money left over so, before I went to see the Deadpool film, I hit a different Gamestop and looked to see what Disney Infinity figures they had. Well they had the playset unlock figure I needed for the Guardians of the Galaxy playset in D.I. 2.0 and two figures, Rocket Racoon and Star Lord. So I got those and two more Skylanders (Zook and Boomer) to fill out the buy-2-get-3-free sale. See pic below:
I saw a Big Bang Trigger Happy that I thought was really cool, but I already have a regular Trigger Happy figure. I still really want it though.
He's just like Slim Pickens in Doctor Strangelove, riding that bomb down like a steer.
And the Deadpool film was really great. I loved the way the opening credits made fun of itself. It's like every detail in the film broke the 4th wall. Also the love story part was really well done. The film has some soul. I didn't get any of that from the trailer. Darn trailers are always so misleading.
I completely understand that. I went to gamestop when they put up the one with all of it and the art book and they said they were not taking anymore preorders. I said you just posted it yesterday. Anyway, I should get both this week and the DLC.
Hey, did you get a XBone? I know you and I are friends on the 360.
I'm so glad it's doing well. There'll be more FE games for sure.
I've played just an hour or so of the game so far, and I'm really liking the visuals. The 3D cutscenes look amazing. It looks like it might not kick my ass right at the beginning either, unlike what might have happened if I had got F.E. Conquest.
Yea, the trailer threw me because I thought it was just going to be pure action and all dumb one-liners. I mean, it had all that, but it was a little deeper, and it was very smart in the way it presented itself. Visually, there were a lot of jokes too, and I like visual jokes.
