That's pretty cool that you said there is a Darkwing Duck motorcycle in 3.0. I remember teh first game had Scrooge McDuck's money bin.

I didn't have time to blog on Saturday so this is really about the whole weekend. Saturday I played Episode 5 of Tales from the Borderlands finally. I had the season pass and played ep. 1-4 as they came out, but with almost six months to wait for ep. 5, I kind of lost interest. Well I finally finished it. Great story, predictable, but still very entertaining. My big gripe with it was the way it chugged almost constantly on my Xbox 360. Load times were long but worse than that was very regular slowdown that came near to ruining the experience for me. I'm not sure what the issue was. Maybe this runs better on XBO or PS4. I'd be tempted to get it again to play it without hiccups.
Then Sunday started with an old game I've been meaning to get to for a long time, Sky Odyssey for PS2. This, I was hoping was a little more than just a flight sim, but it's not. I wanted some story, some adventure and lots of realistic, but not crazy realistic, flying controls. What it is is a pretty strightforward flight sim. There's a bit of adventure in that you fly over this group of islands and sight see, but I had a devil of a time with the controls. For flight sim fans I'm sure it's great, but I really don't like that much control. Flying the biplane I chose was very touchy and delicate, and more complex than I wanted. You're basically using four different buttons in combination to control the plane plus a button for acceloration. It just takes too much getting used to. I'm a Crimson Skies kind of flight sim player. Give me a little more arcady feel to it and I'm in for the long haul.
So after plowing into cliff walls a bunch of times - upsidedown - I wnet back to Disney Infinity 3.0. I picked up some more figures and the Rise Against the Empire playset piece. I had to go a little far out there to find a Gamestop that wasn't cleaned out of 3.0 stuff, but it was worth it I think. Here's a pic:
That's Han, Rey, Leia, Luke, Zeb (from Star Wars Rebels) and the Rise Against the Empire playset piece.
I finished the Twilight of the Republic. I did just about every side mission in the playset. Then Mark and I split up the next two playsets. He played Rise Against the Empire (original trilogy) and I played Force Awakens. They both looked really great and ran through their respective stories very closely with very good voice work. We both loved being in those worlds doing various tasks that reminded me of the Lego games, the difference being, the excellent combat mechanics (thanks Ninja Theory). I was also having a lot of fun hunting down Mynocks. There's 100 of them in each playset and it's a challenge to find them all. I got 50 on the Twilight playset and I'm at 33 on Force Awakens after 3 hours. I'm feeling like I may get them all at that rate. Later, Mark and I will swap playset pieces and I'll get to play through Rise Against the Empire. It's such a shame this will be all the Star Wars content for the this game. The rest of the playsets aren't as interesting to me, but I'll play them anyway.
Monday is a day off for me, so I'll be playing some more after a few chores in the morning. I got a retro game to play first though. Should be interesting. Until then, Pixl-bye.
