Minecraft to Medicate Madness

Yes, out of work again. I guess I'm just mad. Or insane, or not mad, just annoyed - maybe stressed beyond tolerance, I don't know. Anyway, I needed to escape so video games to the rescue. Too stressed for serious stuff, so Minecraft it was.

Mark and I played a new map on survival mode with the idea we would be trying to get to and defeat the Ender Dragon. We did everything except get enough Eyes of Ender to activate the End Portal when it was time to stop. Finding Ender Men for their pearly eyes was harder than we bargained for. We had trouble finding a lot of diamonds as well. So much so, I decided I would enchant iron tools instead because it is much easier to find iron. Then if I found some diamonds, great, but I'm not betting on it anymore - just too scarce and random to depend on.

One thing I did in the mines was dig these 2x3 tunnels. They seemed like subway tunnels, so that's what I called them and planned on laying track to make them even more like subways. Yes, things get weird down in the mines. It's a weird place.

And I corralled a bunch a dogs as I usually do. I was careful with them this time, but a creeper blew up a few along the way. No way to stop it really. Those creepers are mean, like some people I know. But enough of that.

And I made some potions this time. I made the resistance to fire potions and boy are those handy. I stepped in some lava in the mines, as you do, and chugged one of those and it stopped the burning right away. I'm always taking those with me from now on. Very easy to make: Nether Wart, Magma Cream and Red Stone. Simple.

Anywho. I kind of want to live in Minecraft right now. The world is too tough for me.

That sucks man.

On the upside, Minecraft is pretty great. I started playing again recently. What system you playing on?

Hopefully this trauma in my life will put me on a better track. I already feel a little better studying for a more substantial career.

I'm on XBO. AIWithWarpDrive is my handle. I've used the snap feature on XBO to good effect with this game. I needed a potion recipe so snapped the web browser during gameplay and looked it up super fast. Just what I've always wanted in a console, PC functionality.
