Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Excitement Makes Me Buy More Toys

Last weekend I saw a poster for Guardians of the Galaxy 2; and then I saw a trailer before seening Dr. Strange. I was so excited, I put all my Guardians of the Galaxy Disney Infinity figures on my shelf. Then I realized I was missing two of them because I gave them to my friend Mark when we played Disney Infinity 2. Of course, I couldn't resist the buy-2-get-3-free sale at Gamestop and got some others. Here's a pic:

I needed Groot and Rocket Raccoon and got them. I added Jack Skellington, Poe Dameron, and Skylander Jet Vac Full Blast. I happened to go to the store just when someone was unloading a ton of Disney Infinity figures and power discs. Turns out, Gamestop doesn't take power discs for trade-in, so they gave them all to me for free. Yeah man. These discs give new powers, or vehicles, or items to certain figures. I'll have to check them out next time I play the game.

I also found out that Gamestop is not going to be taking any Skylanders figures in trade anymore. That means I won't be able to get used Skylanders Imaginators figures. In a way, that's good because I'll now be very picky about what ones I buy. I sort of gave myself an overwelming problem by having so many figures for each game - too many choices.

That's about all for now as I sit here in stunned disbelief as Trump approaches victory.

Wow they give away the power discs, that's really cool. The last time I was in GameStop I decided to check out the display with the figures and because it was next to the stack of Infinity games at $15.

Have you seen the Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex Skylanders? I haven't seen them anywhere. I don't know if they're out yet or hard to find or what.

YES! And I'm so worried now that Gamestop is not taking any Imaginators figures in on trade. That means I'll have to buy new and wonder at which stuff is going to get hard to find. Really, I'm trying to decide what few figures I really want and just get those. I don't think I'll be going for complete sets this time around. Can't wait for your review to help me decide what the bare minimun I may need to see everything in the game.

Well you'll need a Crash Bandicoot or Dr. Neo Cortex figure to unlock a special Crash themed level. I do know that. But I don't know what it is since I don't have one of those.

I haven't seen one either yet. I looked at the characters they had at Toys r Us for Imaginators the other day and wasn't impressed. Maybe they're out of ideas and decided to let the gamers create the good characters this time. I do like Chopscotch though.

I like King Pen, one of the Skylanders included in the game, because he kind of reminds me of the Penguins of Madagascar. Even though she's kind of a bland character, I also like Barbella for some reason.

As cool as she may be, I probably still won't buy her, at least not right away.
