I bought NO Man's SKy. It's not as bad as people say, but it can be annoying. I like it though, and wouldn't like to give it another shot. I think you'd like it though, there's crafting and exploration, and it has a cool ambiance.
Finished Story in Skylanders Trap Team

I wasn't feeling much up for Doom today (Sunday), so I fell back on my chill game, Skylanders: Trap Team and stayed with it all day long.
I finished the main story. I've played about 25 hours of the game so far, but the story isn't really that long. I've been doing a chapter at a time with a few arena battles, survival/tower defense fights, and rhythm games in between. The end of a chapter puts you back in the Academy (hub area), and so I go around and do a few of the extra stuff before I start the next chapter.
I realized it might be wise to focus on one element type when using figures, so I stuck to undead since I had Krypt King maxed out already. You get a bonus in your attacks for owning more than one figure of a certain element. I logged in Funny Bone, got him to level 20, and then logged in Eye-Small and got him to level 17. I would pop in other figures if I needed a particular element type to open a gate. I also had to drop in Trap Master figures sometimes because they are the only ones that can break certain crystal formations. Funny Bone and Eye-Small are just regular Skylanders, not Trap Masters; although, they can still use the trapped villains as power ups like the rest.
Which brings me to the next thing. I started using the trapped villains very frequently. I almost ignored them before but I found out that they are very useful in big battles, especially with bosses. When you switch to the captured villain in your trap (by pulling LT), you don't take damage for the time they are active. Damage to the villain just reduces their time in play. So it's very helpful to use them to avoid damage when you're low. Near the end of the game, I switched back and forth many times in boss fights. It made all the difference.
The main story was very entertaining. Kaos does some funny stuff near the end and into the credit roll. Nightmare Mode unlocked for me. I think I'll tackle the remaining achievements, which aren't that hard, except the one for finishing the game in Nightmare Mode, and then probably start Nightmare Mode and see how it goes through the first few chapters. The game, as I played it on Hard, wasn't all that difficult. Two bosses use these lasers on the ground that you have to jump while fighting that's a pain, but I managed it. On Nightmare Mode though, it could be maddening. I am trying to build a team of one element to max out my bonuses. I don't know whether that's the best strategy (probably not), but it's fun to do, so I'm trying it.
I'm already thinking about what will be my next backup, chill game once I'm done with Skylanders: Trap Team. I think it might be No Man's Sky. It's down to $25 used right now.
Until tomorrow. Bye.
