500 Diablo Bounties on the Wall, 500 Diablo Bounties

Yes, it's the final achievement, 500 bounties, and I'm going for it. Today, Mark got it, but he had the time during the week to do that. I'm at 50% as of today. Mark has still to get the Dream Team achievement to get 100% completion, so he was following my level 70, paragon 101, Witch Doctor and power leveling. At Torment V difficulty, I have to be a little careful, but so far it's been fine. I think I'll notch it up to Torment VI tomorrow - more loot, more XP.

I'm beginning to like playing at a high level. Item drops bring really interesting gear that very specifically boost the skills you're using. The drops seem tailored to whatever character you're playing. With my Witch Doctor, I now have several pieces of equipment that upgrade my pets, a belt that gives me fetishises (little creatures with diabolical daggers), pants that exude poison (I call them "the stinky pants"), a mojo that causes an explosion of poison after every 10 kills, and a piece of unique chest plate that's part of a set, which when I get another part to it, will greatly boost my Haunt and Soul Harvest skills. I've got quite an arsenal of tools to use on the battlefield and it makes for one chaotic mess in action.

I'm also getting ready to move on. I used rewards points at Gamestop today to get Borderlands: The Handsome Collection (Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel). Then I reinstalled Borderlands 1 on my XBO; so did Mark. Tomorrow I'll get another copy of The Handsome Collection with some trades for Mark and then, after some Diablo, we're going to start a complete run of the series. Oh man, I can't wait for that.

Soul Harvest.  Nothing like harvesting souls for evil plans.  OR INCREDIBLE POWERS!

Seems like a thing to do, but like they say in Diablo's story about Zoltun Kulle: he spent too much time fighting demons, and so became one himself. . . Ah, what the heck, I'll do it.

500 of anything is intense.

It was weird because I got about 50% of them without thinking about it. Kind of like the gold achievement in Diablo III before the massive update/remake, whatever you call Reaper Of Souls and Ultimate Evil Edition. I got 50% of the 1 million in gold just playing normally. Then I tried to build a character just to mine for gold and it was taking so long to make any progress, I just stopped. This one is a little bit more managable. I just have to do a hour or two every game day and run through the bounties. Nine days of that, and I'm done, but who knows, I saw this legendary item that gives a character a massive boost to thorns damage, so I kind of want to build a character all about thorns now. All that thorny armor would look pretty cool and the effect on the battlefield would be funny. I thought a Monk would be best. He'd run very fast and just take demons out by bouncing off them with all those thorns. I might do it just to see that.

I like monks in fantasy stories.  Dudes got courage.

The Monk in Diablo is all about speed. I piss off my friend Mark in co-op when I play one because I zip way ahead of him searching for demon fodder.

These games should have servers that let XBO, PC, and PS4 owners play each other.

I somehow see the armies of lawyers lining up on all sides, making it impossible.

Maybe, but there are a few games already allowing crossplay between PS4 and PC.

Yea, and PC and XBO. That's definitely a thing that's happening. Who knows, maybe the streams will cross, but will the universe explode because of it?

You're gonna start a complete run of Borderlands? That will be fun!

Yea, I wanted to play Borderlands on XBO and gain achievements again. Unfortunately The Handsome Collection doesn't have Borderlands 1, so I thought I'd replay it anyway since it's backwards compatible. I'm not focusing on achievements so much this time though. I'm just going to play the story with Mark and try and build my character in some fun way. I started today with a Soldier and am focusing on Assault Rifles and my turret special skill. I just started getting weapons with elemental effects and am using mostly fire based ones because you're fighting humans and skags mostly in the beginning levels.

Man, on my very sporadic playthrough of Diablo III we haven't even unlocked the Paragon stuff yet o_O

You start gaining Paragon levels once you reach level 70. I noticed you tend to get to about level 45 or 50 after one complete run of the story. So paragon levels will begin while you're doing Adventure mode where you hunt for bounties and do Nephalem Rifts. It's pretty deep into the game, in other words.

Sounds like you're being rewarded for tougher game play, which is always a fun bonus. I bought the Handsome Collection awhile back mainly for Pre-Sequel, but I think I also transfered my game file from the Vita to B2.

Weird thing about Diablo. I came across this piece of a set of equipment that seemed like the ultimate thing to have for my Witch Doctor. I began to see what might be going on here. Each character has its own best suit of equipment hidden in the game somewhere. They leak out better and better gear as you level up and increase difficulty until you find that ultimate suit. I began to feel like I was being lead around by the nose all this time and I guess I was. That's the special sauce behind the loot system. It keeps dropping slightly better gear for you as you level up, leading you on to more and more gameplay. I'm not going to search more for this ultimate suit though. Maybe, though, I'll just keep increasing the difficulty and see if more pieces of it drop.
