Gamer's guilt got thrown to the skags as I knocked off another full day of Borderlands this Sunday. Details to follow.

Mark and I finished the General Knoxx DLC, or rather we finally got tired of driving those long highways. We left two missions unfinished. One was the mission to beat Crawmerax. This is one impossible land crab. It's always about four levels above the highest level player, so you have to come up with some serious strategy. Mark and I, at level 45 each, couldn't dent it and got killed almost immediately. It's likely you need certain types of equipment and possibly four players. We tried to bring in a Japanese friend of ours, Blackfeather0, but apparently the Japanese version of the game isn't compatible with the N.A. one, so we left it open for randoms, but no one showed up. We didn't try it for very long though. The other undone mission was the last one for Marcus. For some reason, the General Knoxx boss wouldn't respawn. We couldn't figure out why, so we just moved on to the last DLC, Claptrap's Robot Revolution.

This DLC is a lot of fun. We first switched to Playthrough 2. This is like a difficulty level - everything gets harder. You have to replay a few missions at the begining of the main campaign before you find a teleporter to take you to the DLC areas. We did that and started Claptrap's Robot Revolution. We managed to finish the main quest just as the night ended. I unlocked a bunch of achievements, one for every boss. I think I didn't actually play this DLC the first time around. I remember getting frustrated with the game after the second DLC, Moxxi's Underdome, and then just watched Mark finish the rest. This time, I hosted, so got credit for finishing the missions.

Tomorrow, Mark and I will play some more. I want to finish all the side missions in Claptrap's Revolution and then play Moxxi's Underdome. There are several achievements tied to both that I can get, mostly collectibles and some special missions. I probably won't get all the achievements in this game unless I can figure out a way to beat Crawmerax in the General Knoxx DLC. There are two achievements attached to that.

We'll, that's a day. Aren't Borderlands characters delightfully perverse? I'm developing a thing for Tanis, the female mad scientist, but she'd probably put my brain in a jar and attach me to a Skag or a giant robot. Oh well, my lover's lament would make a wonderful poem that would fit perfectly into an additional piece of Borderlands DLC.

At some point I should redownload that BL Collection on PS4. It's one of those "hey a bundle for $20!" games I haven't justified purchasing.

There is SO much content in even just B2 and Pre-Sequel. The world is giant and there are so many quests. There's always a reason to replay too because of the new gear you keep finding. The story and characters are so funny too. I never get tired of hearing their dialog.

Oh gosh, a whole day of Borderlands? That's intents, man. I never did play any of the DLC myself. Tanis is cool though. I like how literally crazy she is lol

Borderalands does crazy really well. I can think of a bunch of crazy characters from the other games that are so funny.

My bud and I have been trying to play some missions on The Pre-Sequel but there were some bad connection issues. You can easily waste time on any Borderlands.

We had some slight connection issues. It really just amounted to an occasional lag where Mark's character would stutter instead of move smoothly.

I think, I might try and streamline the play of Borderlands 2 when I get to it, but I know it will still be a large time sink.

You'll love the next games. These are the hours I've spent on Pandora and Elpis:

Borderlands: 131 hours
Borderlands 2: 175 hours
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel: 105 hours

As for our lag my connection was pretty bad.

Borderlands: 54 this year. Played it in 2011 though, but didn't write down play time. I'm guessing another 50 hours at least.

Borderlands 2: 119 hrs.

Borderlands Pre-Sequel: 168 hrs.

Tales from the Borderlands: 15

Oh those Borderlands characters, they are something else.

I should give the original Borderlands a try again. Maybe if I play it in smaller doses I can get through it without getting dizzy.

You can stick to one mission at a time. Most of them are pretty short. I was surprised that Mark and I finished the whole game in 4 or 5 hours by sticking to the main story missions.
