B2 was my favorite game on the Vita. I played that thing non stop and loved everything about it. I wish the devlopers ported more Borderlands games to the Vita but it never happened.
Deep into Borderlands 2

But not before I spent an hour or so grinding on Claptrap's Robot Revolution in Borderlands 1 to see if I could pick up a few more collectibles from fallen claptraps. I got a few more of each type but didn't unlock any new achievements yet. I'll continue to just replay that DLC every week and see if I can't get those.
The rest of the day was all Borderlands 2 and, boy, does this game keep you interested for hours and hours on end. It never, ever gets boring. There's always something new to pick up, a new task to do, new enemies to fight, and new characters to meet with larger-than-life personalities.
I tweaked my sound so that dialog was way up in the mix today. There were lots of stuff I never heard clearly before. Most notably was the crazy ranting of Goliaths as they chase you around. Goliaths are just big beefy dudes who, when you shoot off their heads, start rampaging around attacking anything in their way. As they make kills, they level themselves up, getting bigger. There's an achievement for letting one level up four or five times and then killing it. I would lead it to other enemies for it to attack. Listening to the voice work for it was hilarious. Usually, with the normal sound mix, you have trouble hearing what it's saying with all the music and effects sounds, but with my setup, it was clear and said some surprisingly crazy things. It made Mark and I laugh and laugh.
I'm about level 16 now playing a Commando (not co-op. Mark and I are just playing in tandem). The Commando uses a turret just like the Soldier Class I was playing in Borderlands 1. Thing is though, after a while, I started using sniper rifles like I used to do and found I was wrecking the place with it. I wanted to stick to assault rifles, but it seems I'm just better with the sniper rifle. So, I'll stick with it.
Borderlands 2 is everything the first one was and much more. Everything is improved: the U.I., driving, gun play, animations, characters, anything you can name, really. It's a well oiled machine. I can't imagine what a Borderlands 3 might look like if Gearbox is really making it right now. What improvements could they make to the awesomeness of B2? I really can't wait to see what they may be working on.
So that's all, I guess. I'm thinking about 1968 right now for February and games that might vaguely relate (if I can find the time with so much Borderlands going on). I got some ideas, but I'll relate that in a furture blog.
