I played Borderlands 2 via The Handsome Collection for part of the day and Zoo Tycoon the rest. Below be more, yar.
Started in on the first DLC pack for B2, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty. Mark joined in too. I got so frustrated with it, I rage quit. What made me rage quit was my shield. It was terrible, and I couldn't understand why. I had carefully replaced it with what I thought was better stuff the whole 36 of my levels. Then my shield started getting knocked down with one hit from enemies, and I kept getting knocked down. This gave me a lot of second wind recovery attempts, but it was really disruptive to the gunplay.
Then I started a new character and tried to play the DLC but got my butt handed to me. I guess the DLC is set at some base level that's higher than level 1.
Then I restarted the character I was playing first and took a different approach to weapon pickups. I decided to go for rate of fire and nothing else. Then I repecified my skill tree for rate of fire. It made it much easier to decide what to pick up. I quickly changed everything I was carrying to pistols, sub machine guns, and one shotgun. Is it going to work? Not sure. I just want to try and have fun with fire rate. I want to see how crazy fast I can spew bullets into the environment. I'm through with figuring this system out.
Then Mark left the game and booted up Zoo Tycoon, so I did too. While he played the tutorials, I played the campaign and had a tough time on some of the levels. Each new zoo area tests you on various techniques in the game. One tasked me with adding a certain number of South East Asian animals and then boosting the zoo's appeal to Indian guests. I failed this mission a bunch of times before I just decided to sell off all the starting animals and start fresh with anything of Indian or South East Asian origin. That did the trick, and I won. But then another mission had me trying to maintain the entertainment of the guests while leveling up animals to be released into the wild. I failed that as my last act of the night. Gee, I guess I'm just failing at everything this week. Still, it's fun. Fun to fail. I guess.
Tomorrow, if I go to Mark's, I'll play my rental game Tales of Berseria on PS4 but not until I use this Onedrive thing to bring photos to my Xbox One. I think I figured it out now, and I'll see if I can edit them on my console. I'd like to play the game of photography.
May the BaD be with you . . . and me. I need it.
