Halo Hot Wheels Acquired and Stuff

On a whim, I went to several stores on my way to Mark's to see if they had any Halo Hot Wheels. I found them at a Toys R Us. I couldn't resist and got all five. Here's a pretty terrible pic:

Had to have them. I guess I'm still a Halo fan. Not pictured is the Hot Wheels Starship Enterprise NC1701 from the recent movies and the Batmobile from the Michael Keaton films I got for Mark. I looked for that 60s Batmobile but only saw the Batboat and Batcopter. I would've grabbed that if I have seen it.

Also played some Borderlands 2 today. Got to level 50 and almost finished the Tiny Tina DLC. This is the one where Tina is DMing a Bunkers and Badasses (read, D&D) game, and you are playing it out as the vault hunter. It's an excellent piece of video game art, I think. As she narrates the game the main characters are playing back in Sanctuary, the world for you changes according to her whim and the whim of the players. It's fabulous, and I love the fantasy setting.

Finally, saw this cartoon a while back in a Dungeon Magazine from the mid 80s. Quite topical, I thought.

I was watching something about hot wheels last night with my brother and my dad. me and my brother were reminiscing about our hot wheels and when we were kids. Had a lot of fun with those!

Me too. They have these mats with road patterns on them for Hot Wheels. That made me think of when I used to play on my grandparent's persian rugs with my hot wheels. I'd use the patterns as roads and then act out little stories with the cars.

I used to watch my brothers play those HALO games sometimes. For some reason, I always called the vehicles in those games "tractors." I don't know why, that's just the first word that popped into my mind. So I would say to my brothers, "Get in that tractor!" And they'd just roll their eyes at me and say, "That's not a tractor, Cary, it doesn't even look like one!"

They are kind of bulky like tractors. I can totally see that. They're also generally bouncing over hills and stuff like the way tractors bounce around a lumpy field. Ha ha. That's kind of funny.

Heck yeah you got those cool vehicles with the special packaging. Check Target for the Batman stuff, they tend to have the full collection sitting on the pegs. I thought about getting the Top Gun Motorcycle and the Clueless Jeep awhile back.

I like the Fast and Furious Dodge Chargers. My favorite Hot Wheels as a kid was a pink Dodge Charger who's chasis would pop up to reveal the engine.

I saw some Forza Horizon Hot Wheels as well. I wish they'd do more video game tie-ins. I'd like a Mass Effect Mako and any Borderlands vehicles.

Yeah I dig the Fast and Furious stuff too, but its a little pricey for me. If you have a .99 Cents Only (maybe other dollar stores too) check them out because there is a Super Mario Set of Hot Wheels.

I dug Hot Wheels as a kid but I remember there was a line of cars (maybe Hot Wheels) where certain panels on different cars would flip and expose a damaged side. It was a blast having a regular Hot Wheel crash into these cars.

I got into satanism through D&D. Oh yes. I'm standing on a pentagram right now with the Fiend Folio trying to conjure a mindflayer. It's all part of my plan of world domination. You know, normal stuff.
