"All this achievement hunting is tiresome."
Yeah, I always start out liking how the stuff guides me through the game, so I'm not just wandering around, but at a certain point it becomes more like a chore.

Mark and I got the “Map Room” achievement done today in Minecraft: XBO Edition. I jumped into his world and helped him sort out his 9 completed maps and where they should go on the wall. Once he placed the last one, the achievement unlocked. Then I removed one and replaced it and I got it too. I don’t consider it cheating. I did spend an awful lot of time building a Nether Subway system and mapping 4 of the maps in my own world. It was just a matter of time. Wandering around and mapping is not all that interesting. Figuring out novel ways to do it, like the Nether Subway, is. This isn’t the end though. There is still one more achievement I want.
It is the “The End. . . Again” achievement, which tasks you to revive the Ender Dragon. Mark jumped into my created world for this because I had a lot of the key resources already gathered, all but 7 Ender Pearls. I had terrific luck finding them in the first half hour or so of playing. I found three Endermen in the Nether and then three more in the Overworld on the way to the End gate. The last one, though, was my downfall. For some reason he got in a few more hits than me and I suddenly realized I was near death. I scarfed some food fast but it wasn’t fast enough and another hit killed me. I respawned a whole map away, too far to recover anything. I was livid for a few moments realizing I had lost almost 6 Ender Pearls and all my duplicate maps, not to mention my diamond sword and pickaxe. I took a deep breath, though, and remained calm enough to begin again and start remaking my basic equipment.
Mark was expanding my mine and gathering basic resources. I took more trips into the Nether trying to find Endermen again. They became very hard to find and only near the end of our play session did I get three together, make them Eyes of Ender, and place them in the End portal. There are 6 more to find now.
We will probably do some more tomorrow. We’ve already talked strategy for when we open the End portal. We’ve got to kill this dragon, harvest more Ender Pearls (there’s plenty in The End), build and place the respawners, and watch the dragon come to life again. I think we can end this tomorrow and finally get back to just messing around. All this achievement hunting is tiresome.
Oh, it gets soooo frustrating at times. That's why I end up restarting the game a lot. I just can't bear to continue. Like today. I got attacked by a glitched zombie. It was invisible and unhittable. It just followed me around until I was cornered. I could do nothing about it. That was the first time something like that ever happend but it was like the ultimate griefing. I actually starting thinking that maybe someone had snuck into my game. I don't think it's possible though.
