One thing I like about Skylanders is the toys just seem to say, "Play with me!" And I thought the Superchargers vehciles were like that, too. Wheels moved, fins could flap, propellers turned, it was just cool. I really liked the DK and Bowser Skylanders, too.

I am now on the Superchargers figures. This is the fifth game in the series. It came out in 2015, which is about when I started collecting them because Superchargers didn't do as well as the previous games and Gamestop started their buy 1-get-2-free sale on figures right after the holidays. All the game starter packs were marked down too.
There are two figures and their vehicles per element except for the light and dark ones with just one each. These are the ones I have.
Nightfall and her vehicle Sea Shadow. Astroblast's vehicle Sun Runner.
I have the Astroblast figure but it's the legendary variant. I'll put all those together in their own pic.
I don't know why Superchargers didn't do as well. Maybe it was toys-to-life fatigue? It seemed like the perfect idea to add vehicles. Who doesn't want their Skylanders to ride vehicles? There is something about the design of the Supercharger toys that doesn't quite have the charm of the previous ones. Maybe it's that they don't have those giant swords, horns, axes, scissors, etc. . . that the Trap Team have. I love those vehicles though.
This series saw a crossover with Nintendo, an Elite line, and a large number of variants with first names like Nitro, Dark and Power Blue. Oh, and the holiday ones.
I have a good chunk of the Superchargers, but there are still a few I'd like to get.
