Well, I'm out of work again, and so, today, since I have my school work done already for the week, I went on a photo shoot with Mark and then played some Forza Horizon. Then I heard on the Axe of the Blood God podcast (Kat Bailey - remember her from 1UP?) on my way home, that there was a Etrian Odyssey V demo on the 3DS eshop. So I'm downloading it as I write this. Oh, yes, it's done!

Forza Horizon. I played a bunch of multiplayer until I hit level 25 and got an achievement. There were a lot of glitches in the online today. Races ran fine when you could get a group, but I had trouble inviting Mark in. Then, I got booted from a game for inaction - I thought I was camping to stop a player from winning a race in Cat and Mouse - and couldn't find the group again when I searched for them. I had to leave Playground mode and do Social Racing instead. That was fine though.

Then I played single player and beat the main storyline of the game. Five lap races are darn long and test your endurance and concentration. I also found the penultimate Discount Sign. One left, and I have no way to find it even with a walkthrough map. Some of the locations aren't on the map at all. You just have to look for them off road.

I'm going to try and win every race in the game. I'm not too far away from that goal, and there are at least four more achievements for doing that.

The other day, I traded a bunch of old boxed Intellivision games for a copy of Forza Horizon 2. So I'll get that in a few days. I want to trade for a second copy so Mark and I can play at the same time and maybe check out any co-op challenges.

I returned Agents of Mayhem to Gamefly today because I want to wait until it's cheap to buy two copies, so Mark and I can play it. It'll be fun to challenge each other even though it's a single player game.

Finally, I just downloaded the Etrian Odyssey V demo. I'm going to check out the first half hour or so before bed tonight. I can't wait.

That sucks you had to part with Intellevision games. How long are the 5 lap races time-wise?

Yea, but they are so bulky. Plus, Mark and I broke out those systems years ago and gave them a good play. I think I can part with them. Now, when I start thinking about the next generation of systems like NES, I really can't bare to part with that.

5 laps seems like an incredible endurance race, but it's probably not all that long in terms of minutes. What makes it seem long is you have to focus 100% the whole way. Just one moment of inattention can result in a spin out. I've got these two races that I can't beat because I mess up right at the very end every darn time.

OH shit, there's a new Etrian Odyssey. I forgot. I almost beat the last one before I ran out of steam. I might have to pick that up, I love those.

I never have time to finish any of them. I get 10 or 15 hours in and then it's like next year or something.
