Minecraft and Halo 3: ODST

Minecraft: I quit out of multiplayer because it was seriously not working well. There was a several second delay on just about everything you did; if I killed a cow, got an achievement, or did anything that resulted in a item drop of any sort, it would hold up. Way too annoying. So I played single player for a while and tried to dye things. Still can figure out how to dye my leather armor in the inventory. I've tried just about everything I can think of. My last resort is to make a cauldron and dye it in there. I've never tried that before, but it should work. Then I got really bored playing by myself, so I switched to the game I bought today, Halo 3: ODST.

Halo 3: ODST: This just became backwards compatible with XBO this week, so I thought I'd get it again. I always liked ODST. It's dark and mysterious. You're not a Spartan, so you're vulnerable and can't do superhuman things. The Covenant are much more threatening. I love the gloomy city streets in this game. It's a great look. I also like your mission to find the other ODSTs. I like the story in general. I've read the novelization of this game. It was kind of weird hearing Nathan Fillian's voice as Buck and then seeing the TV ad for Destiny 2 on Mark's TV where Nathan Fillian is doing the main voice. That's at least 8 years Nathan has been doing this.

I tried to play it on Heroic difficulty and got several missions in until I really got stuck. Hunters are a pain on Heroic. I liked the challenge of it. It really made the game have its intended amount of tension. I really felt like the lone ODST navigating a Covenant occupied city in the dark trying to find my team mates. I was very cautious in my gameplay, which fits the story perfectly. I guess I just wish I was better at it. Those Hunters seem to always know where I was. I couldn't get a shot at their unarmored backs.

Level deisign is really great in ODST. You've got city streets and some buildings you can traverse to outwit the Covenant. You can approach it many different ways, which is the beauty of it.

I put the game back to Normal after a while and it felt like I was a Super Spartan again. Not quite the feel I want but I was mystified at how to beat Hunters on Heroic.

Well, I may game tomorrow a bit since I have to take Mark (he's in a wheelchair) to the doctor. I guess it'll be an extended weekend. I'm really nervous about my career right now though, so I'll be back on that stuff the rest of the week.

Minecraft again? AGAIN?! Good God, man. You're obsessed. Excuse me while I finish Beyond the Storm again.

Ha! Yea, it's mainly that I can play with Mark online. Also, the reset of the old achievements has me chasing them again.

I heard there was a new Minecraft patch. Maybe it's fucked?

I liked some of the guns in ODST, but I didn't dig the Arkham Asylum detective mode. At least, that's what I recall.

good luck with your job search man.

It varies from day to day. Today it was fine, but on Sunday it was terrible. This is the new mega update with all new graphics and connectivity to the PC version, so either my original XBO can't quite handle it, or they're still working out the kinks.

You turn on that visor for night vision and to see those phone booths with the audio logs, but there's not much investigation happening really.

I'm terrified about my future, but I'm trying. I've left my old delivery job far behind now, never to return. It's find something or else. Luckily, I have at least until next May to figure it out.
