Yooka Laylee, Forza Horizon 2 and Etrian Odyssey V Demo

My next Gamefly game rental will be Yooka Laylee. I've always wanted to play the Banjo Kazooie games but never got to them. This will be a similar game from Rare, so I'm excited to try it.

I traded in a bunch of ColecoVision games, Intellivision Voice Module, and Intellivision loose carts to my local mom & pop game store today and got a second copy of Forza Horizon 2, which will be coming to me by mail in a few days. Looks like Mark and I will be doing that this weekend, or I'll be playing Yooka Laylee. Tough choices there.

I also got in about 90 minutes in the Etrian Odyssey V demo while I waited for my psych appointment. My party just hit level 9, and I'm sad it's about to end.

I love all the passive skills you can get that activate when conditions are right: one heals the party after a round, one after gathering resources, and another summons Wraiths to fight for you; or you can use them as fuel for other spells - deliciously evil.

I have a character with a Scythe that uses a two part attack: one round to create Miasma Armor, and another to unleash a paralyzing attack (that requires Miasma Armor to be active) on a line of enemies. There's nothing like paralysis to ease the tension of a battle.

Shame you never played the Banjo-Kazooie games, because they're WAY better than Yooka-Laylee.

Oh well. I had them recently through The Rare Replay, but I traded it before I could get to them. Alas.

It's great. I'm going to trade some stuff and use my credit to get it for free. I even took off all my 3DS games on Gamefly because I know I won't want to play anything else for a while.
