Mega Forza

Played a lot of Forza Horizon 2 today. I drove every road, found every barn, nearly completed the story of the game (I need 2 more championships), took pictures of 100 different cars, and switched from retro muscle cars to cult classics because I'd won all the retro muscle car races. There's still plenty left to do. Except for the final championships I need to win, I'm starting to look at the achievement list and work from that.

My favorite thing to do in the game is explore. I love driving on all the different roads. I'm kind of sad I've got them all now, but there are still a lot of signs I need to find, I think maybe just over 50 left of the 150 total. I've found some in really remote areas, and that scares me. There is so much terrain in this game, I don't want to endlessly comb the landscape for them. I try and do multiple things at once in this game: racing, taking pictures, hunting for signs, doing championship races, sometimes going online for multiplayer races, and sometimes just finding something to jump - a ramp or a hill. I know achievements will lead me to play more multiplayer and collect more cars and try races with cars that aren't my favorite, but it'll all be fun.

I just got Dragon Quest Heroes II from Gamefly today. I'll see if I can pull myself away from FH2 long enough to give it a try tomorrow. Yea, my weekend has started early. I'm starting work at a local library next week, and my weekends will disappear, so I'm taking advantage of the time off now.

There was a game on the PS2 that I played a lot that was fun to drive around and explore.  It was called Road Trip.  It was originally a Choro Q game in Japan.

I got the first Dragon Quest Heroes super cheap when I first got my PS4.  I didn't play it all the way through so I skipped out on the sequel.

I remember Road Trip. At least, I remember playing it. I don't remember much else.

I didn't finish the first DQH game either. Something about the real time battles gets old after a while.

The problem with DQ Heroes is that it's basically the same game as Hyrule Warriors except i'm not as familar with the characters.

That hack 'n' slash mechanic is ok, just not my thing really. I mean, I like it in some games, but when it's kind of chaotic and hard to do specific things, unlike in Diablo III, I get kind of annoyed with it. I got a similar feeling with the battle mechanic in Ni No Kuni. It had some tactical aspects, but it was largely a spastic, hard to control, mess.
